Dr. Asha George, MD

My husband was going to her and switched because of the lack of knowing her patients before coming into the room gave us the feeling of not knowing what she was doing. They do not accept CC and takes months to cash a check which these days can overdraw your account in a heartbeat and forget about getting medical records 1 1/2 months later and still waiting! Not only till I left a message about said records was the check cashed. If you have that many patients get with the times because some of us live paycheck to paycheck and can’t afford a 2 month wait for you to cash a check!

Dr. George is a sincere, caring doctor. She listens and takes time with her patients . I had been suffering for many years and been to multiple doctors before she became my doctor.So glad I found her. Wonderful doctor and staff.

The wait was insane. Half the time it was because she wasn't even at the office yet. She's rude to her staff, was rude to me, wasted 3 months of my time and didn't even give a diagnosis. A diagnosis a REAL doctor in Annapolis gave on my first visit. While being seen I didn't know whether to cry or storm out from her nasty attitude. I only gave her 3 months because I was desperate and in so much pain, I didn't think I was able to make the drive to Annapolis. Enough was enough. She had different things to say each visit that completely contradicted her previous instruction. She googled and googled. Her cell phone constantly would go off . Please please don't waste your time on this doctor. Make the drive and go to someone that will help you.

I began seeing Dr George in Nov 2017 and in the beginning she seemed to be very thorough and interested in offering care for a new patient. During each visit the wait was excessive even after you were put in the room, but I didn't mind because I felt that she did take time to listen to her patients concerns. But after a few visits I began to have issues with Dr. George releasing medical documentation which took not 1 or 2 but multiple months for her to release. Very puzzling???? Medical records were requested to be released to an authorized facility and at first there was no cost, then there was a cost of which I decided to just come out of my own pocket to pay. Even then she still did not release my medical records for review. After more than 2 months of me requesting and more than that from the facility requesting. I had to advise Dr George's office that I would be writing a letter to the Maryland Medical Board and anyone else who will listen if she does not do her job and release my… records for review. Evidently that was not in my best interest, because instead she falsified medical documents and conversations which were held with her and stated that I did not have symptoms related to a disease that she personally diagnosed as well as prescribed the medications for. Please help me understand how you can diagnose someone with a disease and say that the person didn't have the symptoms affiliated with the diagnosis that you gave????That day only records from other physicians were issued and she advised that she would need to complete her doctors notes for all of my visits back dating to Nov 2017 and would send those at a later time. I would assume medical notes or documentation should be current based on each individual date and time of visit. After repeatedly asking for her notes, it was a shock to see how Dr George repeatedly lied in her documentation stating that I slept all day, didn't go to physical therapy because I said it was too cold, had no complaints of symptoms associated with diagnosis and refused surgery with no reason as to why, she also stated that I worked a full time job(which I haven't worked in 1 year), and that I would not comply with her instructions. Thank God for documentation because my physical therapist has determined otherwise. I personally asked for a call from Dr George before this issue got out of hand and never received a call from her after multiple requests. I've never had to experience anything like this. If you find even a good physician ask plenty of questions and pray that you find one that has your best interest at heart. I don't know what type of oath she swore to, but what she practices is definitely unethical. Best of Luck to you.....

The worst experience I have ever had with a doctor! I wish I could leave negative stars. She had horrible bedside manner from the get go, but at least ran tests. Each progressive appointment got worse. I felt like a lab rat having drugs thrown at me without diagnosis. She gets angry when asked questions or for explanations. At my last appointment She down played my symptoms, put words in my mouth, and lied about tests she had done! Still no diagnosis and she had no interest in doing so.

You would think a rheumatologist would expect questions when diagnosing a 29 y/o with an autoimmune disease. At my last appointment She down played my symptoms, put words in my mouth, and lied about tests she had done! I still do not have a complete diagnosis and she had no interest in doing so. She has no interest in figuring out what is truly wrong with her patients. She will only push you off to other specialists and disregard every symptom you explain that is not text book for her "diagnosis". PLEASE go to any other rheumatologist! She is not passionate about her work and will do as little as possible to diagnosis you.

Very thorough & caring doctor. Spent time with me explaining my disease & treatment options . I feel much better now than I did for years when I was seeing many other doctors for this condition.Would definitely recommend to friends & family.

Dr. George very thorough doctor, takes her time with patients, and goes above and beyond to get tests and make a diagnosis. Ease of appointment is great. Staff is warm, friendly, and helpful. Her bedside manner can be misunderstood as rude but mostly trying to be thorough. Returns calls promptly and has made weekend calls to discuss problems. Very accommodating and caring about her patients. Works long hours and has limited staff could be reason for some stress levels. I would recommend Dr. George for rheumatology. Only one in St Mary's County and has a 3-4 month wait list. Dr. George office makes you a priority when scheduling and calls promptly if there are cancellations. Again very accommodating!

Status quo. Not a progressive doctor. Yells at her employees and her patients.

Very rude and confrontational. I would not recommend her to anyone.
