Dr. Asia Mubashir

This is by far one of the WORST excuses for a doctor I have ever seen. I have a complicated case with a lot of symptoms. So because of this I typed out 5 pages of symptoms and a separate page of diagnosis I had received and which ones were true and which had been disproved by now. This is exactly the kind of information everyone is asked to provide on the initial health questionnairefor nee patients, I just did not have enough room and I know it is important to give as much info as possible. I also had blood work taken by my primary care who referred me to her in the first place. She seemed nice at first, but it didn't take more than 3 minutes to realize she clearly does not care about her patients. She did not once look at any of the symptoms I had typed out, or what other doctors had come up with so far. She very briefly asked me about symptoms and I was very quickly cut off so she could do a physical exam. The exam consisted of her poking at a few joints for less than a minute, all… while not actually looking at my facial expressions to see if I was in pain nor asking. After that she told me my bloodwork was "barely positive", which it was just about the most positive result possible. Then she told me that since no one has figured it out so far that that meant it was in my head. She said that I need to either travel somewhere out of state for better doctors OR go home and not worry about it. I tried explaining that I'm not actually "worried" but my quality of life is so poor at 22 years old that I have no choice but to push for answers because otherwise I will not be able to work or function soon the way things have been progressing. She again told me it was in my head and to go home. I left in tears and had to go to the bathroom to try and pull myself together. I was planning on going back to work after my appointment was over but I ended up going home instead. I have never been so disgusted by the way a "doctor" or any human for that matter has treated me.

I had an excellent visit with Dr.Mubashir. I was there for a second opinion.She took her time to listen to me and examine me. I have a complicated medical history and a large amount of medical records. She went through them page by page and made notes. By the end of my visit she had completely understood my medical condition. I was very satisfied and have decided to see her instead of my rheumatologist even though she is far. Very well worth it!

Dr Mubashir is excellent! knowledgeable about all new treatments, patient and approachable. I have recommended her to friends and family.

She acted like she had better things to do. Barely looked at me and seemed bored to death. Wasted my time going to her.

I will say I got an appointment with her fairly fast (2 weeks). She talked to me for about 5 minutes, had me move my leg and arm joints, asked a handful of questions, looked in my mouth, and told me my symptoms were all over the place. I had 4 plus pages of symptoms and diagnoses from over the years written out to make the big picture clearer, and she seemed bored. She wouldn't refer me out for genetic testing or for cardiology and referred me back to my PCP (who referred me to her). I was not impressed. I was under the impression I was sent there for help assessing my symptoms for an EDS diagnoses. She told me she doesn't do that, but then wouldn't refer me to genetics who does. The appointment was a waste of time, and money. She said if she was in private practice she would have written it off. She was nice, but at the same time she truly didn't seem to care, or want to help me search for an answer to my ongoing pain. I left very unhappy, and abruptly from the room because I felt… like she was not even trying to hear or help me. Not happy at all. Also, I had an 8am appointment, I arrived at 7:40 am (and receptionist wasn't even there to check me in yet) and the doctor didn't come into the room until 8:20.
