Dr. Assadollah Mazhari, MD

He did 4 surgeries on me. The 3rd one he put in a cage that was to big and a year later tried removing it as it was touching a nerve. While trying to remove the hardware he tore my spinal dura sac. It took 4more surgeries and surgeons to repair a d now I wear an intrathecal pain pump due to arachnoiditis I now have because of what Dr mazhuri did to me. I never heard from him, never sued him, and not so much as an acknowledgment from him. After all I'm disabled and he stole my life and my kids mother.

do not see this doctor! waste of time!

I am stupid man because I read reviews about dr mazhari and I still visited his office. He is a nice man but nice alone is not enough when it comes to operate on your spine, and he does not actually operate but he sends patients to other neurosurgeons. He sent me to dr zserlip and surgery was performed on my nick( fusion). I am doing baaaaad, pain and numbness is very bad. I supposed to see this surgeon two weeks post surgery but the nurse called me and said he is buisy and we need to reschedual your post surgery appointment but you need to come so I can remove your stables from the cut on your neck, haha, what a joke because I had no stables nor stitches , they used glue. My point is they do not even know what was performed on me. Every time I call because I am concern about the numbness in my legs or left arm after my surgery , they tell me go to the ER. Zero communications between me and my surgeon. Dr szerlip, was worry that insurance will not cover c5-c6 fusion but he was sure… that insurance will cover c6-c7 because it is extremely bad disc, c5-c6 was bad too. I never knew that doctors negotiate payment issues when they help injured patients. I am so scared and terrified that worse damage has been done to me. If dr. Szerlip read my comment please do not think iam writing this because of disrespect , I am writing this because I am in greater pain than before the surgery and you have not took the time to check on me. Plus, why I was kept in hospital four days while my surgery requires only two days stay? For God sake help me, because beaumont doctors are so concerned about me more than you are since I visited their ER after the surgery. DO YOU care about the insurance money only?! I am suffering..it has been 17 days after the surgery and things getting worse. Can I at least get post op appointment with you without you guys cancell it at the last minute. I wish I never done my surgery with you. That is my honest and out of heart opinion , nothing about disrespect.

I have been DrMazhari,s patient for 15 years and he has performed surgery on my neck and back .I highly recomend him to my friends and reletives

Place of employment finally got the paper work faxed to them.....UNSIGNED! Even though I specifically left instructions WRITTEN ON THE FORM IN PEN to do so! Incompetence reigns supreme!

Two years ago he recommended surgery for my neck (c-spine). I had a rough episode at work a month ago, and saw him (his assistant). She ran the appointment and set me up with yet another appointment with HIM! I went back....she did the initial interview and I finally was seen by them both. Surgery recommended again! This time I was told the surgery was ELECTIVE! The pain was bad so I thought it might be time for surgery. Went back...saw HIM and this time, physical therapy was on the table. He wrote me a script for PT and gave me three weeks off work before surgery (should I choose this option). Started PT and it seems to help, so I needed a form filled out for work to compensate my time off. Drove 30 miles round trip to deliver the paper work...they said a week to 10 days to fax it to my company! Nothing happened for over 2 weeks, so I started calling them...1, 2, 3 times. Finally got them to send the form (the form only had 6 lines and a signature required!) I'll check to see if it… was really sent. NEVER GOING BACK THERE! It seems the only thing anyone in that facility are good for is making your life more miserable than it already is! Dr. Mazhari and his crew need a comprehensive lesson in compassion and bed-side manner.
