Dr. Atsuko Zoe Haruyama, MD

I'll begin by saying that Dr. Haruyama must be overworked, or maybe I just caught her on a bad day. On my first and LAST visit with her, without having ever met me before, she walked into the examination room with an unpleasant look on her face. When I greeted her with a pleasant and upbeat greeting, her demeanor did not change. I told her that she had been recommended to me because I had heard she was a menopausal specialist, and she replied that all the gyn/ob's at Kaiser are menopausal specialists, and I didn't have to choose her. The entire visit, I felt unwelcome, uncomfortable, and dismissed and as if my appointment was imposing on her busy schedule.

I wish I had read these reviews before going to this doctor because everything written here is what I experienced. Doctor has NO bedside manner, dismissed my issues, refused to run basic blood tests (which urgent care said to check), and told me I was wrong when I explained that my PCP was booked up for 3 months which is why I came to her for sooner help with my current ongoing quality of life health issues. I literally left this doctor's office in tears.

It was my first time getting checked at the obgyn and she made me feel stupid for feeling weird. Was very cold, the only person smiling was the nurse in the room with us. After i declined her proposed treatment plan she was very dismissive (her way or the highway). Would not recommend her.

If I could I would give -1 star for this Dr. The experience was not a pleasant with her. She should not practice as a Dr.

She is atrocious. She doesn’t listen to your concerns and thinks she is better than you. The pretentiousness oozes from her skin from the moment she opens her mouth. Please, do not trust this doctor with your health. Don’t make the same mistake I made.

She shouldn't practice as a Doctor. She has no patience.

Please make sure you keep yourself away from this Unprofessional being! Has been repeatedly negligent. I've seen her a few times and thought she was cold and distant. In one of the occasions, had to wait over a month for a face to face appointment. Turned out that appointment was cancelled same day since she called out. I understood and rescheduled an appointment (phone appointment at this time) for two weeks out. I was informed I would receive a call between 4-5pm, and made sure to make myself available. However, I received only one call at 3.48pm which was missed. She never called back. She only made one attempt which wasn't even within the scheduled time frame. She didn't even bother to leave me a message. Such a lack of professionalism from someone who doesn't seem to be cut to work in the health field. I wouldn't feel comfortable putting my pregnancy in her hands. Definitely changing my Obgyn.
