Dr. Audrey Khatchikian, PhD

I found this doctor to be disrespectful and inappropriate - to the extent that I did not feel I could trust her with my mental wellbeing.

Terrible experience.

The absolute worst

When I began to see Dr. Khachikian over ten years ago, I was lost and abandoned by another therapist who overmedicated me with no real direction or care for my well-being. I was desperate and alone. I had suffered a hemorrhagic stroke while expecting my only child, and the strides I had made in occupational therapy had quickly diminished due to being overmedicated. She hesitated to take me on due to the numerous medications I was prescribed, and any positive outcome seemed unlikely. However, her empathy and solution-focused therapeutic style made me want to succeed. She evoked a superhuman drive in me to become the woman I once envisioned myself to be. She cared about my well-being and success, and I wanted to actualize everything she believed I could achieve. It took some time, but I slowly reduced my medication until I no longer needed any pills. I was able to thrive in my occupational therapy once again and set goals for my future. I returned to school to attain my bachelor’s degree… and a master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling. You would not have recognized me if you had met me ten years ago. She saved my life and helped me find purpose. She is caring and empathic and dedicated to the success of her patients. Coming to see Dr. K. was the best decision of my life!!!

Dr. Khatchikian invested a lot of time understanding all aspects of who I am and quickly identified precisely what I needed, and then demonstrated to me, exactly why and then how I needed to proceed to improve my overall quality of day to day life, in all regards. This included my family life, friends, as well as tremendous insight on how I can resolve work related issues. If you are willing to invest your own time, I cannot recommend a better resource.
