Dr. Ayesha S Nasir, MD

Have been seeing Dr Nasir for several years and would recommend her and Avance care to anyone needing a primary care physician.

I'm going to repeat what other reviewers have said - do not go to this doctor if you have a mental health condition. She will keep trying to tie your problems back to your mental health condition and even imply you're imagining your symptoms. If you're not on medication because you're managed with therapy, she will strong-arm you into "trying" medication - even when you tell her you've had side effects. On top of this, she always feels rushed, dismissive, and doesn't refer patients out to specialists quickly enough when their symptoms are beyond her expertise. I have spent probably over $800.00 in prescriptions since starting with Dr. Nasir and every visit seems to wrap up with another prescription being assigned even though the cause of my symptoms is still uncertain. My first visit with her, she seemed good even if she was rushed. Every appointment since she has increasingly blamed my symptoms on my mental health condition. I thought I was imagining it but when I pulled up… this website and saw she has done this before I was beyond disappointed. People with mental health issues get sick too. If we have been self-managed in the past, it shouldn't be assumed that an acute illness is in anyway related. Do not go to this doctor if you have mental health issues or want a doctor that will take more than 5 minutes to talk with you when you're sick.

If you manage any sort of mental condition, she will be completely dismissive of your physical ailments and tell you to follow-up with your psychiatrist. She won’t take anything you say seriously, and basically imply it’s all in your head. People with bipolar get sick too! We’re not all immune to other chronic or acute illnesses because we have mental health issues. Quite the contrary. One often feeds into the other, and we’re deserving of the same level of care.

Ayesha Nasir was my primary care provider at Avance Care for a couple years. It was my mistake to not move to a different provider sooner. She always seemed rushed, careless, and completely inept. She billed for numerous unnecessary tests and office visits, claiming it was their 'policy'. I later learned from another Avance Care branch (after switching, finally) that none of her actions were part of a required policy. Do yourself a favor and avoid this physician!

She perscribed medecine despite knowing that pateint is allergic of it.

Dr. Nasir and Dr. B are the best! I have gotten into their schedule in a very timely manner. All my questions were answered to my satisfaction. They are both very personable and knowledgable. I recommend this practice highly!

It is not the Provider that has me seeking a different office for my husband and my health care needs, its the front office staff. Its been a challenge from the beginning. They lack understanding of patients questions/concerns. Basic. Having a long history in the medical field, my policy as a medical office manager is the following: If you can't answer basic questions or at the very least, tell the patient calling, you will find an answer for them and return their call asap, if you don't know what you are doing....DO NOT ANSWER THE PHONE. This tells me that their training is lacking in front office skills. I really don't want to speak with someone that just came out of high school. Get it???

Dr. Nasir is a wonderful, caring physician. When my elderly mother was ill, she handled her care with the utmost professionalism but at the same time, a caring heart. My family has since switched to this practice and I can't say enough wonderful things about them!
