Dr. Azita Far, MD

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. I HOPE YOU SEE THIS ANYONE WHO HAS AN APPOINTMENT WITH HER AND CANCEL IT ASK FOR A DIFFERENT DOCTOR. I met with dr. far today and im so glad i looked up this yelp page to realize i am not alone in the way she treated me. She was completely patronizing, aggressive, condescending and RUDE. The way she spoke down to me and belittled me saying IM THE DOCTOR as if i was trying to school her on her own field of medicine when I listed off a dozen different treatments for neuropathy that I have been reading up on that particularly pain medicine doctors perform. She said she had not heard of any of these treatments and asked "where are you getting your information from' which is hilarious because the questionairre they had me fill out at the beginning of my appointment asked if I had ever had steroid injections, PRP, nerve ablation... literally all the things I had asked her about and she said she had never heard of. I asked for a referrall to specific therapies like… vestibular for my balance issues and she said I would have to go to an ENT to get a recommendation to make sure I had ear issues. What does she not get. I dont have ear issues, I have numb feet which throws off my balance. I need to train my inner ears to use in replacement of my numb feet for balance issues. It has nothing to do with me having bad ears. Its the opposite. I felt like I was talking to a rock. She dismissed everything I said and said there was literally nothing she could do for me. Ive been in a HORRIBLE mood all day, ive been waiting months to see a pain doctor. DO NOT GO TO THIS MISERABLE LADY.

Dr. Far is incredibly rude, dismissive, and arrogant. I actually suspect she enjoys being the gatekeeper between patients in severe pain and the medications/treatments they desperately need. She was clearly annoyed when I asked her to explain a little about the treatment options she rattled off, and had the gall to ask why I was crying when I started to tear up, feeling interrogated AND still in severe pain. I was stunned. When I mentioned the doctor who referred me, she condescendingly said I should "cut him out of the loop" and similarly had derogatory comments about physical therapy. (As it happens, the referring doctor and my physical therapist are godsends.) Worse, her MyCSLink after-visit notes describe at least a dozen exam/diagnostic results that she DID NOT perform or ask about. It also says she spent 60 minutes with me. I'd be amazed if she'd spent more than 6. I cannot fathom how any of the positive reviews are legitimate. I filled out the automated Cedars… Sinai questionnaire with my concerns; I'm also considering reaching out to Cedars personally; no one should be treated like she treats patients.

Holier than thou, dismissive, total lack of compassion. The positive reviews are not to be believed. It’s like night and day.

If I could give zero I would. I read a lot of bad reviews but believe in giving someone a chance. Now looking at ANY good reviews feels like they HAVE to be fake!!! She’s every negative comment rolled into one. She’s incredibly rude, incredibly unprofessional and I can’t agree more that she doesn’t care at all about patients. Go anywhere but here! Sincerely.

Dr Far is everything one wishes for in a physician. She is knowledgeable, experienced, warm, instructive, compassionate, concerned, supportive, calm, specific regarding prognosis, non alarmist and humorous.

Never have I met a doctor that didn’t care about people

Not compassionate. Rude and poor bedside manners. I would not recommend her

Really caring doctor that I was amazed she really took the time to learn my history and put me at ease that the future can be bright!

Highly qualified, compassionate and committed to her patients wellbeing.

I suffered for years with chronic back pain. I tried injections with other doctors and they were also painful and never helped. Her injections were amazing. Her hands are magical. Simply and swiftly she relieved me of my unrelenting torture. She is the only doctor I trust. She is so caring, bright and competent. She really saved my life.
