Dr. Bahareh Rezazadeh, MD

I have been dealing with an illness for 2-3 years. I recently got worse and everything hit me at once. My PCP dx me with Lupus and started treating me. I was treated for 2-3 months with improved symptoms only to go to this Dr to be told it wasn't and prescribed Cymbalta (which is a rheumatologist go-to med) according to me. I'm very disappointed and feel like this is a classic case of medical gaslighting!

Was so excited to go to this doctor. I told her that I wanted to come to her to get her expertise, and she was mean and angry. Told me that I didn't look like I had rheumatoid. Staff was rude when I called to ask about labs. When I came to my next appointment, she cancelled it after I had driven an hour and a half. decided this was not the doctor for me!

Had previously been to two other doctors in same field of work and both said I did not have rheumatoid arthritis. She did a Vectra DA test and it came back moderate to severe RH.

She gave conflicting notes on lab results and prescribed medicines without blood results. She did not take proper care and completely disregarded my input.

Had a great first visit today to my new Rheumy! Not the news I was hoping for, but encouraged I will get better!

Not educated in prescriptions. Gave me 2 prescriptions with severe interactions to my other prescription. Gave me another prescription that was supposed to be as a last resort but prescribed it first. Does not take good notes. She could not remember a conversation that I spoke about my previous doctor and prescribed the same medicine I told her did not work.

Dr. Rezazedeh was friendly, but a bit different. She spent way too much time asking, or rather, questioning certain diagnoses. I was diagnosed at 15 with Lupus, among other conditions that follow auto-immunity, and it wasn't my main concern to defend the decisions of my previous physicians and more than competent rheumatologist (I just moved to Texas, and had to leave my physician). She didn't seem too concerned that I was planning on having a child, which is extremely scary as a lupus patient, even more so when the doctor acts nonchalant and says there is no reason to see me more often, or run additional tests during pregnancy. I find this a bit unusual, since the rheumatologist and OB will need to work closely during the pregnancy. To add to the above, she wasn't even going to do any lab work. For a patient with a history of kidney issues, lupus, and vitamin deficiencies, you would think the physician would want to check labs. I had to ask for them to be done. Then, I had… to tell her what needed to be checked, and basically told her to look at my prior physicians lab records. As if it wasn't bad enough, she started talking about how expensive it was going to be for an in network lab, and tried to talk me into using an out of network lab. I told her I would have to check, thinking I could just call my insurance company quickly - nope, I had to schedule a lab appointment. When I checked out, I asked if I could come right back in after the phone call & have my lab work done & the lab tech agreed. Not five minutes later, I came back in and was told that it's too late in the day for lab work, and they don't do lab work at 4:00 pm. That's great, since it was 3:55 & I was told I could. I cancelled all future appointments. I'll stop ranting, and just say - bottom line - see another physician. This is your health, and you have the right to a great doctor. Never settle.

She has a great bedside manner. She thinks outside the box, treating the patient not just a disease.

Great doctor! Easy access, right next to hospital, labs on site, multiple other specialists next door.
