Dr. Barbara Joyce Kane, MD

I agree with the previous review. Having been a patient of Dr. Kane for over twenty years, I realize she does run late at times, but when she is in the room with me she is 100% present and I never feel rushed. Fortunately, I only have had to see her for annual visits and each time she remembers me, my family and my interests. I have full confidence in her.

Kept me waiting over two hours and never apologized for keeping me waiting. I asked to have nurse supervise and she refused. Told what procedures did not want done in exam, and did them anyhow, on two separate visits. Needs to learn the word "respect." Impersonal, cold, and alarmist, which ended up being a misdiagnosis. Doesn't explain medical information, and refers to pamphlets to be obtained elsewhere instead of simply explaining herself.

Dr. Kane is very thorough, smart and compassionate. She takes a lot of time with you , which is why she runs a bit late, but once you see her she gives you her full attention and spends a lot of time explaining everything. She is a great diagnostician and I can't recommend her highly enough.
