Dr. Bashir A. Zikria earned my respect immediately! As an ER nurse of twenty years, I have high standards for care of both myself, and others. Dr. Zikria's bedside manner is personable, compassionate and humble. Zero detection of arrogance and intellectual superiority that can make a patient feel inferior. Dr. Zikria makes a conscious effort to connect with his patients human to human, while remaining diligent to his medical professionalism. Great time management skills keeps his office on schedule and his respectful mannerism with his staff invoked my trust even more. I am grateful that he is my orthopedic physician and for the first time in over two years, I feel like I am going to not only receive the treatment I need for recovery, but am under the care of a healer who genuinely wants to empower me to return to a life free of pain and physical limitations! I saw Dr. Zikriya for a shoulder injury after two Previous doctors messed me up. He immediately did X-Rays and told me that I may have ligament injuries. He sent me for an MRI and I will see him soon. He was very professional and compassionate. I am looking forward to seeing him for the rest of the treatment.

Dr. Zikria was recommended by another trusted Master Sergeant. At a time when I was challenged both physically and emotionally weak. Dr. Zikria carried/ moved me from one bed to the next ... before went out... I recall him stating firmly “he is my patient”... I clearly understand, when I was able to work at a high level ... Tore my Achilles Tension while playing tennis. The first doctor recommended to let it heal on it own rather than have surgery because of my age (69). My daughter recommended Dr. Zikria which really took in account my physical ability and my overall health. He explained the healing process of surgery vs non surgery. He went over my CT scan and X-ray and explained everything to me. I had the surgery at Sibley Hospital. Dr. Zikria mannerism was very professional and he has a caring spirit. I am back playing tennis and feeling great. I would highly recommend Dr. Zikria.

Dr Zikria exceptionally performed two surgeries on me: my revision ACL reconstruction and hamstring avulsion surgery. It wasn’t an easy task keeping in mind that new tunnels had to be drilled, the old tunnels needed to be grafted and new graft needed to be pulled. Several months later we had successfully stitched my torn hamstrings. Besides the fact the Dr Zikria is a great surgeon, he is also an amazing individual that is always willing to explain everything down to a small little detail and someone who can definitely lighten up your day and support you mentally through a surgery!
