Initially I was fearful about my spine surgery. Dr. Bjerke patiently went through the details and everything went smoothly. Six weeks later I was cleared for going on with my life without restrictions. I also give kudos to the office staff, and staff at Clark Memorial. Everyone was kind and helpful.

I was having severe pain down my left leg along with numbness in my calf and foot. I saw Dr Bjerke and after he did x-rays and reviewed my MRI he said I had a severe herniated disc that had my syatica nerve pinched. July 9th I had a microdiscectomy. The pain in my leg was completely gone. I never had any pain during my recovery didn't have to take any pain medicine. Would highly recommend Dr Bjerke.

I am beyond blessed that I was referred to Dr Bjerke, has changed my life. After months of extreme pain all down my legs he preformed an inter body fusion and 6 weeks later I’m almost back to normal, and not experiencing any pain. He not only is the greatest spine surgeon, he’s a very caring Dr. When I was diagnosed with cancer before my spine surgery, he actually called me twice to see how I was doing, and to assure me we could do my spine surgery at a later date. He’s truly one of a kind and I’m so grateful he was my surgeon.

No, I didn't want surgery and I was very nervous. Did a little research and Dr. Bjerke was rated No 1 in his field. Dr. Bjerke answered all my questions. He did the mri that found a very large (11 milimeters) herniated disc that was crushing my sciatic. He finally believed me that i was having the severe pain that i have had for years. It has been 7 weeks from the srugery and I need to be reminded that I even had the Pain!! I had to wait four weeks and there were problems with the office scheduling but I am glad I waited. I would give a hundred stars if I could.

I expected to have back pain forever. I will always be greatful.
