Dr. Benjamin Natelson, MD

Would really recommend not spending the high rate to see Natelson. He told me there was nothing to do about many of my symptoms that are now being addressed by a different doctor with care and compassion. Decides anxiety and psych diagnoses are appropriate after talking to a patient briefly and not properly screening, and that psych must be the main cause of low quality of life (particularly in women). Do not believe him if he tells you your problems cannot be fixed, there are things to try with practitioners who listen and are up to date on the ME CFS and related comorbidity research. If you are looking at seeing Natelson, highly recommend getting on the waitlist for Dr. Ilene Ruhoy, she is worth the wait and the cost and is the most informed and compassionate doctor I've ever seen, I saved up to see her and it was completely worth it as I finally have some hope for symptom management and baseline increase after over 10 years of medical neglect and gaslighting.

I am a Healthcare provider.. I work with patients… to not take insurance is one thing.. to charge 1200 for a consult?? How narcissistic do you have to be to think that a consult is worth that much money? Can you sit here and say you care about people and want to help people whose chronic conditions are resistant to many treatments with so few drs who specialize in them.. absolutely not!! So basically you only are available to rich people. Everyone else can go suffer. I?m sure the receptionists hate making appointments for him. My condolences to you guys! Stay strong

He’s the best doctor I’ve ever met. Dr Natelson is the most “ for the patient” physician I’ve ever met. I struggled years to get even the slightest bit of help to feel better and saw dozens of doctors. In one appointment Natelson changed that for me and got me onto my track of a better life. He’s been here for me whenever needed, even though I haven’t seen him in almost a year. I’ve read about him, watched his videos, researched him, even after my visit. He fascinates me and I occasionally need to hear him argue with other professionals on behalf of those who are ill, or to hear him try to fix the current medical system so we as patients, and even non patients get the help we need. This mans given his life since the late 60’s to making the world better and it’s no different if you’re a patient of his. Some people are destined for greatness, and Some people use their greatness to change the world. Dr Natelson and his nurse Michelle are the people who eat, live, and sleep to better the… populations health.

He still leans to psychiatric after all these years. Spate yourself another doubter. Positive reviews baffle me. Please we have had enough scrutiny!

How dare a doctor publish a book on the validity of CFS and what to do when doctors do not believe symptoms to be real when HE DOES NOT EITHER. He sounds so caring in his book but he is awful. He goes psychiatric though his own work proof it is BRAIN DISEASE. He blows you off to the what we heard far too long.. its psychiatric..How damaging..please spare more of this onto you ..spread word to not put yourself through this again with this man

I have never known anyone nor seen any doctor as nasty as this man and to think he wrote a book on bedside manners with CFS is just Criminal. It almost sounds unreal that anybody could be this nasty but he is. After 30 plus years of severe CFS he put me on a drug that gave me quality of life finally after searching the globe. I am published on CFS I ran a support group of five hundred people internationally online and well-versed in the subject and finally was happy with quality. In life certainly not a drug abuser when he took it away and now I am a tortured ball in Agony in bed where I started at 21 years of age. He gave no explanation nor alternatives as far as medication or other doctors and abruptly walked out the room yes he is that nasty ... and to give life after decades for then eight years only to take it away is beyond words. how dare he have no conscience and leave me like this please . Obviously he does not care

Dr natelson is now in NYC, not NJ. He is amazing! Worth the trip into the city to see him. I saw other CFS specialists but he is the only one who has actually helped me gain some strength.

Dr Natelson is very exsperienced, and he has a good understanding of CFS. DR Natelson provide excellent care.

My husband and I have been in Dr. Natelson's care for about 20 years. We've found Dr. Natelson to be extraordinarily knowledgeable, highly intelligent and exceptionally caring. He has always taken our health issues very seriously. His concern for his patients is genuine, and he is excellent at follow up. He is clearly an expert in his field. His diagnosis is always "spot-on" and his treatment plans effective. Although it is not always easy to get an appointment, and the waiting time in his office can sometimes be lengthy, he is worth it. He is an excellent doctor and it is a privilege to be his patient.
