Dr. Benjamin J. Newton, MD

Today, I am still suffering from the injection after 4 month, 130 days. I am still having all the nerve damage symptoms associated with sciatica nerve that was hit on during the injection and my left hamstring is so sensitive to the hot or cold water/temperatures, even in the pool, the water feels like sand rubbing the skin; on the opposite side, my left calf and my foot were numb to the water especially warm/hot water. I still couldn’t lift half gallon milk out of the fridge.

I’ve seen Dr Newton for only a month, but he has been very adept and quick with finding the root of the problem and focusing Care and treatment on that as opposed to throwing meds at me. He has excellent bedside manner and takes the time to really talk to you and answer your questions. His staff is awesome, too! I can see myself going to him for my herniated back and neck pain needs for a long time because I know that I am going to be highly involved in my treatment plan and because I know I will get some sort of pain relief, which has never happened to my satisfaction in the past. I haven’t tried stem cell therapy yet, but it may be an option if the more conservative treatment is not as effective as I would like. Thanks for being such a caring, understanding, and skilled physician. All 3 are not easy to come by!

D., Newton was very helpful. I have advanced osteoarthritis and he is providing me with an unbiased evaluation and treatment plan. He comes across as very caring, objective, and knowledgeable

I've consistently going to newton for about 6 months, at least 8 times total, and many itmes when I am schedulked to go in for an injection/procedure, they have not yet gotten the pre-authorization from insurance. So I end up go in and paying the $50 co-pay to have nothing done and have to come back usually 3/4 days later. The office staff consistently also do not book long enough appointments, even when I instruct them that I will be getting injections. Because of this, I have also had to reschedule appointments, even though all information was given up front, and in detail. Newton is a nice guy, but legitimately never remembers what he's done each visit and almost never refers to previous charts, so he relies on the patient to tell him exactly where he has inected and what he has injected.

Dr Newton is the best doctor I have met. He is not only an expert in his procedures but is also attentive, compassionate, informative and helps his patients in every way he can. I am glad I was able to travel to DC and obtain treatment from an awesome doc.

I visited Dr. Ben Newton at this location for my aching back. Well during his manual exam on my back he aggravated what was already injured in my back. I was in massive pain for months from his exam. I am not a large person, and I recommend he adjust his manual handling of individuals depending on the frame of the person. I had bruises that appeared on my lower back from what my internal medicine doctor said was the body's attempt to stabilize itself from the aggravation that he did. I had to get on opiod painkillers(which i'd never taken before- and don't take now) and anti inflammatories for months after this incident, thanks to the aggravation. My back started to crack in the area that he injured, during normal movement, and I could not put pressure on the injured side (i.e. standing, sleeping on that side). I would disappear at work for a few hours everyday to lie down as I could not stand the pain. I went to physical therapy for two years after this incident to try to… remedy the lingering pain and spasms that remained after this incident.

Dr. Newton is a gem in every way. He was knowledgeable, empathetic and extremely good at administering shots....least pain I've every experienced with getting the shots.

Dr Newton is an awesome doctor. His expertise, knowledge and kindness are very impressive and I am glad I travelled to DC for my treatment from the cool doctor. It's a great relief to learn that you are being cared by the BEST!

I love everyone I have interacted with. I ama retired RN. It?s a great office and Dr. Benjamin Newton is not only very good at what h does but he?s also a sweetheart.
