Dr. Maria Bernadette Santos, MD

Avoid this doctor. Seriously, do not let her do anything to you. I regret that she set foot anywhere near me. She was assigned to me in hospital rehab. Beware - she bills $150 for a 30 second morning visit. Caused more pain and suffering than I started with. Never read test results and ordered meds that caused additional problems. Rude bedside attitude. Would not answer questions - she just walks out. Nursing staff cringes when asking them about what Santos is trying to do to me. Privately said they all hate her. They fear her rage. Fear retribution if they change her orders to fix her mistakes. This is not proper medical care. Time for the hospital to part ways with here. It's a lawsuit waiting to happen.

Dr Santos saw my dad in the ICU this am and was fantastic. She was very caring and thorough and had lots of ideas for how to help him with chronic issues we have been dealing with. Have gone to many other doctors who have not been able to come up with a plan to help with his quality of life. I am feeling very hopeful now. Michelle M. This woman should just go ahead and retire. If you are going to treat people like they are three year olds and tell them that they are too stupid and too naive to get any better, then you should not practice medicine. I know this review probably won’t mean anything to her, but she needs a reality check. I give this woman 5 poop emoji’s. Please stay away from her.

Because she didn't actually read my MRI, or perhaps she didn't understand what she was reading, she missed a tumor that was on my muscle. She said my pain was psychosomatic. She told me I was healthy and dismissed me.

For a, 'Doctor,' who is supposed to understand physical medicine, doesn't know much. Appointment was rushed. I was made to feel like my presence was irritating to her.

Didn't take vitals. Didn't ask for medical history. Made a diagnosis based on my appearance only.

Waste of time. Doesn't take full medical history. Spoke for about 10 minutes and she was paid for a full 45 minute consultation. Doesn't seem to care.

Red flags before I even saw the, `Doctor. 1. Takes only cash, or check for payment. 2. Before I even saw the, `Doc,` woman came out from the back and told me, "She doesn't rx any pain killers. so you won't be getting any today." Told this person that was not why I was there. (So, right off the bat, assumed I was there for pain killers only.) She is very judgmental. I have nerve and joint issues. Yes, I'm a hard case and apparently she not willing to put in the work to help me. Fine, if you can't help me with the tough stuff, how about all the other things i told you about. She's another one of those who shrugs their shoulders and gives up.

Very caring and listens

There are a lot of doctors that don't understand the pain of fibromyalgia or don't know how to treat it. The pain in my legs was unbearable and I was sent to her to determine the cause. I have had fibromyalgia since 1998 and had one increase in the dosage. After a thorough hands on exam Dr Santos increased the dosage and I am free from leg pain. My mobility is decrease because of my Rheumatoid Arthritis but Dr Santos believed my pain and I have better mobility and more energy due to less pain. She sent me to physical pool therapy also which increase my mobility even more. She cares about you as an individual and treats you according to all of your health issues, and I have many.
