Very competent in management of orthopedic injuries….. Gets good outcomes if advice is followed.

The Dr Bernie McCaskell that I went to was the most horrible Dr. I have ever gone to.Would not give a one star if there was a lower one.

This man is a scumbag. Do not go near this office. He lied about a procedure and left a back full of scar tissue with a leaking disk. They would not show me my file, I grabbed it and found that it was manipulated and misrepresentative. I actually found forged documents and they said it was none of my business, that it was for the insurance company only. Other Doctors did not want to get involved in his 'affairs' for fear of being blamed for his previous medical treatment. During this debacle I found several patients who were abused by this incompetent (or worse), disreputable practitioner. It was a mess with the insurance, the hearing boards, the endless blockades they put up while attempting to cover their incompetence. Something is very wrong when you bat 1,000 to 'stay away, he is evil' with every former patient you meet from this seriously unethical and incompetent "doctor"..

He is an arrogant and unethical Dr who care very little about work comp patients. He does what's needed to continue to get referrals from work comp insurance providers even if that's not being fully truthful. He feels if he tells a very small portion of the truth then its not a lie.

I was sent to Dr. Mccaskill for an independent medical exam for workers' compensation benefits. He asked me questions, then argued with my answers and tried to refute everything in my file regarding my work-related conditions. His demeanor when he entered the room reflected his thoughts that he was dealing with a worthless malingerer and wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible so he could receive payment from workers' compensation. I also found where he was charged by the State Board of Medical Examiners on a standard of care case but beat the charge by hiring a lawyer in Austin. He's one that just barely made it through medical school and is not competent to practice medicine.

B McCaskill is a quack. He is unethical, biased. If you are injured and have to see him be prepared to be insulted by his opinion. And do your research before you let him operate on you. He is a disgrace to the medical field

Known as dirty Bernie by his collegues- he misdiagnosed my severe disk herniation and wasted a year of my lifeStay away from him!!

My husband went to see this man, what a joke. Went to see him for his neck problems. All he was concerned with was his back. Nothing wrong with his back. Took MRI disc never looked at it. Said nothing is wrong with him said should return back to full duty at work. We then went to see a neuro surgeon who specializes in the cervical area as well as the back. My husband has two ruptured disc in neck that needs to be operated on. What a joke for someone to think we are crazy, but of course we are dealing with workers comp doctors who all they want is for you to return to work and not really focus on the patients. It is all a game that they play with your life.

My daughter had a broken ankle, this Dr. took the cask off a week early took no xrays and said I will see you in two weeks. Came back after two weeks, Dr. McCaskill said let me see you walk on your heels....and sent me out the door and said don't run or jump for 5 weeks! Did not take any x-rays, did not schedule any follow up, no update, no nothing. So, I said "don't you need to take another x-ray to see the progress"! And he said the x-ray won't tell me anything, she will be ok, just don't run or jump. HOW CAN YOU TELL A KID NOT TO RUN OR JUMP, and have no restraints on them!!! I will never use him again and do not recommend him.
