Dr. Beth Ann Mcguire, PhD

I saw Dr. McGuire as a teenager and, well, due to my own obstinance, she ended up referring me out of her practice. Years later, through a difficult divorce, Beth McGuire was recommended by both my domestic violence counselor and my attorney for my three children. All who needed support during a very difficult time. Needless to say, I had to humble myself and call her, as my last words to her as a teen weren’t exactly kind or respectful in any way. It was a great experience seeing her again, and she really took time to understand what I was going through as a teen and what she “missed” (really, what I was unable to communicate to her) as my therapist at that time. Best explained that her diagnosis differed from what my parents were pursuing and she was certainly closer to the mark. She provided excellent support for my children during my divorce and I couldn’t thank her enough for the care she offered us all.

Lady has her own issues. Felt she was talking down to us rather than to us. Preoccupied with telling us stories of how she went toe to toe with a Medical Doctor (MD) and won. Story relates to how she successfully convinced another parent to give ADHD medication to their child. She fought with a MD because she thought medications were the way to go, MD disagreed. She convinced parents to go with another MD. Save yourself some time, pick a different PhD.

Dr. Mc Guire made me feel very comfortable talking about difficult things. She is down to earth and sensible. I have seen many therapists and she is top notch.

Extremely biased towards non custodial parent. Kids HATE her.

Worst therapist I've ever met. Do NOT go see this lady
