Dr. Bijay Sanjeev, MD

I have been seeing Dr Sanjeev for several years. I have always found him to be knowledgeable and caring. His nurse Margurite is also very caring and prompt at returning phone calls. I have nothing but good things to say about Dr Sanjeev. Through the years I have had several hospital stays due to a chronic issue and love the fact that he is also a hospitalist and follows and directs my care and visits me in the hospital.

Dr Sanjeev is a great, caring and thorough doctor. All 3 of my visits with him have been exceptional, he answered all my questions and referred me to doctors who specialize in medical issues outside of his expertise. I rated him as a two because of his Medical Assistant, Margarita and unfortunately, they are a package deal. His biggest downfall is his assistant Margarita. I have had two referrals; after 5 attempts to make an appointment with the referral office, I had to request Margarita refer me to a new doctor. The original referral office claimed they never received the referrals Margarita sent over. I had to provide her with a solution in just referring me to a different doctor. I explained that I was not able to spend any additional time contacting the referral doctor to schedule an appointment and then following up with Margarita explaining they didn't receive referral paperwork she faxed over. Another incident was referral for blood work. I had an appointment when Dr… Sanjeev requested I have additional blood work done. Their system was down and Margarita was unable to enter the referral into the system so she suggested I have the blood work the following day and she was hopeful their system would be back up and running adn would be able to enter the referral. I went in 3 days later, but prior to the blood work, I contacted Margarita at 8:07am on Monday and requested to add a urine test on the referral to test for UTI. She agreed and I asked if I was able to get that done this morning and she said yes. I went in to Sonoran Quest and they did not have the referral paperwork. I work during the day and taking time out of my schedule is difficult. Dealing with Margarita has been extremely time consuming and exhausting. I have written to Dr Sanjeev on their patient portal, but have not heard back from him. Not sure what other measures to take. Margarita is always available when I call, which I appreciate, she just fails on execution.

Office staff is aggressive, an uncooperative group of employees constantly unsupportive of patients' feedback, always busy pushing its own agendas. Highly judgmental.

I have verified chronic back pain but it is like pulling teeth to get a prescription for it. He spends my visit time on his laptop and does not appear to listen to me and escorts me out of the exam room without comment. I told him of an ear problem and instead referring me to a doctor, he referred me to a audiologist who sells earing aides. Had he told me about the referral I would not have wasted their time as well as my time and money. I have to wait weeks/months to get an appointment even when call with I have a new ailment. The way he treats me leads me to believe he does not want me as a patient. I am now looking for a good doctor who listens and cares.

they do not return phone calls, no follow up on doctors orders, wont give lab results.......

He answered his cell phone during my visit. It was my first meeting with him and he spent all of five minutes with me. He recommended a prescription nasonex, and didn't explain why or how it would help. I felt that he ignored my main concern, which was my cough. He told me i needed to see an allergist or an ent, but referred me to no one and i am unclear as to exactly why or which one to visit. I am very disappointed in the care I received.
