Condescending and arrogant! Doesn’t listen, and if you question anything at all he becomes defensive and rude. Stay away!

I posted this review to google, but since this is the site I found Dr Copeland on I wanted to post it here to. I had my first appointment with Dr Copeland today. He introduced himself asked me how I was and then what he could do for me. After that he didn't speak for about 10-15 minutes. It wasn't until I left the office that I realized he let me talk for almost 15 minutes without interruption. I explained my medical history, my family history and all my worries and woes and he never interrupted. He provided a thorough exam, only then did he start asking questions. After that he sat down and talked about my concerns and what his plan was to address these. The entire visit took maybe 35 minutes, but I felt like we spoke forever. It was the nicest doctor's visit I think I have ever had. Please be aware that the address on google says Johnson City, but he is actually with Vanderbilt in Franklin. I asked him about this. That was apparently his old practice, but was over ten years ago.

The best thing I can say is that he listened. It made all the difference in the word. He also convinced me that being healthy is taking a handful of vitamins, but is more about my overall health and lifestyle.

He really does not listen to you when you are telling him your issues. He is condescending and really needs to get over himself. He does not follow up on test you take and does not have his patients best interest at heart. Yes he has a business, but he needs to understand his bed side manners are a JOKE!
