Dr. Blake C Clifton, MD

Yesterday I had my first visit with Dr Clifton and his PA Alex Wray. Here is what i can tell you. The office staff is very welcoming and helpful. Bridget Spann who did the pre-work up was personable and professional and put me very much at ease. Natalie did the x-rays in no time at all and then I met Dr Clifton and Alex Ray who diagnosed and fixed my problem in less than 30 minutes. I have been in pain for two years and was previously seen by another orthopedic who told me if injections didn't work than replacement knees were the answer. The injections I received at that time were excruciating and I swore I would never do them again. (They also didn't help) Dr Clifton talked me into trying the injections again and promised I would barely feel anything, and he was right! I felt like skipping out of there and I feel awesome today. I found my new orthopedist and I just can't say enough good things about this office and everyone in it.

Our son had to have emergency surgery due to a wrist fracture. Dr. Clifton and the entire staff of Gunnison Valley Hospital were excellent to work with. They explained things well prior to the surgery, were very communicative during the process and awesome during recovery. Dr. Clifton's medical expertise resulted in a wonderful result for our son. These situations are often very uncomfortable for parents, and they all made our experience very pleasant. Tia Koch

Took a bad fall on the slopes and ended up with a tibial plateau fracture. Dr Clifton was caring, informative and thorough. Surgery went well, now on to recovery!
