Dr. Bonita Cordney Coe, MD

She is very smart at the mouth meaning very sarcastic, she is a terrible physician no bedside manners at all.

The worst experience ever from a doctor. Very arrogant and unprofessional. My first time seeing her as my primary care doctor left and the new doctor assigned is not in, I do not care to see this doctor again. Never encounter such rudeness from a physician.

Dr. Coe is hard of hearing otherwise she would stop and listen to her patients instead of berate them. She'd rather over talk her patients stop and hear what they are saying. Her tone of voice is as if she is speaking to her children and not her patients. She left MedStar and now is a doctor for John Hopkins. She should leave there too. There is absolutely no reason she should send her patients home crying because of her horrible bedside manner. No compassion.

I should have listened to the reviews. Because I read them before scheduling. She seems like she could be nice at some points. Other times she’s just naturally smart sounding in tone when she responds to you. So I don’t even think she realizes she does it. If you can deal with that fine. I’m not... I only attempted to switch doctors because my other dr was too far, but I will happily take the ride now.

Communication is poor. I had an appointment and the doctor canceled on me at the last minute. Then when I actually scheduled another appointment for a possible emergency, I was grilled by Dr. Coe for not responding to follow up calls. My head at the time was hurting to bad to go into details or fuss with her about why I didn't answer their calls during the pandemic. She had poor communication skills and fussed instead of listening. I didn't even get everything covered I needed in my meeting before the video conference ended abruptly. The doctor instead of calling me back herself to finish the conference had the receptionist call back and recommend me to go to the emergency room as if people weren't currently dieing from COVID 19. I voiced my concerns and was not eased with a simple explanation of how hospitals are taking precautions during the pandemic. She just isn't for me and I wouldn't recommend her to anyone who wants a doctor who takes a more detailed compassionate approach. 8(

Bonita Coe is as unprofessional as they come. I described my symptoms and told her what was going on with me and she completely blew off everything I was trying to tell her. Telling me “you’re not a doctor, dont tell me what you think, just tell me you’re symptoms.” I described in great detail that I hear air/fluid in my chest and something moving around and hurting, felt like a heart attack at one point. But i don't know what a heart attack feels like so she blew it off completely, very condescending towards me. She said it was nothing respiratory and that it was probably just a fractured rib. Made no sense to me but she was so demeaning I couldn’t argue back. Luckily she ordered an xray for the “fractured rib” because they caught a pneumothorax around my left lung. A potentially deadly condition of air trapped in my chest cavity that could’ve collapsed my lung. I pretty much told her the diagnosis straight up and she still didnt find it because of her (In my opinion) incompetence to… listen to me, the patient. She also left the room without saying goodbye or have a nice day to me, like she couldn’t wait to get out of there. Someone from their office called me the next morning and told me to go to the ER immediately. Luckily I am still alive. I will never go back to her. She was also very condescending about my health and diet without even asking about my lifestyle habbits or diet beforehand. Strongly recommend any other doctor but this one!

Understanding, good bedside manner, and straight to.the point. No shenanigans with this lady. Love her!

Dr. Coe was very detailed, straight to the point & genuine. I’ve never had a physician like Dr. Coe- I appreciated her honestly & hitting things head on.
