Dr. Bonnie Jean Maffi, MD

I recently switched doctors after several failed attempts to find a new doctor. Dr. Maffi was great, she was kind and offered feedback. Relieved to have found a good doctor.

I was a new patient to Dr. Maffi. I had a great appointment. I was a little nervous after reading previous reviews. However I have no complaints. She took her time and listened and seemed to care. Did not feel rushed at all. All the staff there was amazing and I will definitely continue seeing her.

After reading some of the reviews, I was nervous for my appointment with Dr Maffi. That being said, I could not have had a better experience with her. She was kind, knowledgeable, and understanding of my health needs. She took the time to review my chart and past reports from other doctors and hospitals, and thoroughly examined and put a plan together for me. I truly had a great experience with her.

The worst experience ever. I left in tears and had a panic attack all the way to my vehicle. I thought I was overreacting or that she was having a bad day or maybe going through a messy divorce. But now that I have read the other reviews, my reaction to her cold demeanor is justified. She is a horrible representation of Mayo.

This young lady did not seem interested in treating me or her job. This was the worst experience I've ever had with a female wellness appointment. She didn't even ask 1 question or perform a breast exam. Basically told me that guidelines now suggest it is unnecessary to get a yearly pap. Really? I guess Mayo isn't into prevention.. just treatment of Cancer.

Seeing another Dr. This one was a horrible waste of my time and money

Dr. Maffi was helpful, diligently reviewed my records from a previous doctor, and didn't order unnecessary tests. She was straight to the point in a nice way.

Dr. Maffi just looked at me and said you look fine. Performed a quick exam, and said I don't feel nothing, your fine. Kind of rude!!

While Dr. Maffi seems professional she came across as very bored and uninterested in me or my questions. She claimed on the medical notes that she spent 45 minutes with me of which much of it was in counseling. She actually spent no more than 15 minutes combined before and after the Pap test. I am used to excellent doctors as a cancer survivor and throughout the rest of the Mayo staffâ?¦her seeming disinterest in me was so disquieting that I feel the need to share my experience. Any counseling she gave me was to tell me i would have to check with other doctors at Mayo for what I felt were related questions to the OB/GYN exam and that wasnâ??t her speciality. Hoping she was just having a bad day but certainly no woman wishes to feel so marginalized when having their OB/GYN exam

Extremely indifferent, does not seem happy in her work. Acts as if it is a burden for her to see a patient. No enthusiasm in her work. She is silent & morose. Not a great experience for the patient.
