Dr. Bradley D. Shepherd, MD

We had an appointment. Nurse obviously didn't tell him. He walks in and tells us he was on his way out for lunch. Do we have an appointment? Our appointment was for 11:30 and he comes in at 11:55. Didn't check my husband. Gave us 5 minutes of his time, handed him a sheet of paper of things to try, and left! Went back to front desk to return the tablet and the woman told me to put it on the counter bc she was on her lunch break! My opinion is lunch is more important than the patient who had an appointment!! Would not recommend this doctor or his staff to anyone. This was about a year ago.

I recommend Dr. Shepherd unequivocally. My GP said he is an excellent doctor and I trust her judgment.

My first visit with Dr Sheppard seemed rushed - in and out without much personal interaction. I had rectal cancer and this was my first colonoscopy after surgery, radiation, chemo, and colostomy bag. I had some questions to know how this would be done and how prep would be done. It seemed as if I was taking too much of his time asking questions. Visit was very unsatisfactory. I had to contact the office to reschedule procedure due to a death of a family member. I was treated like an interruption in their day. Trying to communicate with office staff was the worse experience I've ever had at a doctor's office. Phone calls were not returned in a timely manner or not at all. I ended up going to the office to get answers to my questions and not treated respectfully. It is my opinion that patients are rushed in and out without being considerate, caring, or treated with respect. This office is much too large and cold in regard to patient care. All about the money.

Dr. Shepherd did not readily see the signs of pancreatic cancer nor did he see the suffering experienced by my mother when she saw him. He missed several important symptoms, did not refer her for palliative care without my insistence. She died about 6 weeks after her first visit with him.

This doctor is very rude and arrogant. He dismissed me even though I was in terrible pain and refused to explore other options. Thankfully, I found a doctor who would listen. He also did extremely costly biopsies on me during a procedure that I later learned from another doctor did not have to be done. The same information could have been obtained through a simple blood sample. Do not waste your time on this doctor unless you want to spend a lot of money and suffer for no reason.

Very dissatisfied with the quality of care I received here. Will not be returning. Save your money and time and go elsewhere if you have gastro issues. They're just looking for the money from expensive tests. They don't seem to care about their patients pain and quality of life. Also, it is impossible to get hold of anyone at the actual office now that they have merged with Atlanta gastro.

This doctor has a condescending manner, and at one point claimed not to be an expert on a subject directly related to gastroenterology.
