Dr. Brent D Lemberg, MD

Dr.Lemberg was absolutely incredible! He was very pleasant at the bedside before the procedure and addressed all my concerns and questions! I was so comfortable throughout the procedure, just woke up in recovery afterwards. 100% recommend him for any of your endoscopy needs! Not once did I see him not smiling at me!

Dr Lemberg enters the room with a cheerful greeting. He is a doctor who actually listens to his patients. More importantly he follows through with his patients. I was surprised to receive a call directly from Dr Lemberg to give me the results to my tests. He could tell I was nervous and took the time to help me understand the tests results and the next steps. Caring and compassionate, other doctors could learn from him.

I have seen several gastroenterologists for my irritable bowel syndrome and have, at times, left the office with tears of frustration in my eyes as they dismissed my concerns, talked over me and didn't listen to what I have to say (and I am an internal medicine doctor myself, so I have more than average layperson knowledge of what seems to trigger my symptoms, etc.) Everyone wanted to force me into a scope, barely listening to what I had to say. I understand IBS is rather "boring" and frustrating for gastroenterologists to treat, but still. Dr. Lembert was the first doctor who actually listened to me. He has an excellent bedside manner and seemed to understand the toll IBS takes on people's lives and livelihood. He spends time with patients and is easy to talk to. He didn't push for a scope because he told me it would likely be normal (and I subsequently had a scope when I moved away from the area and another gastroenterologist demanded it and it WAS normal!) I left his office… nearly crying tears of joy for finally finding one of the rare doctors these days who takes time to listen and care! I recommend him to anyone I know who needs a GI. I recently moved back to the CNY area and will drive an hour to see him again - he's worth it.

Dr Lemberg was recommended to me by my friend. I have been suffering from diarrhea and weight loss for some time now. Additionally, my doctor found I had anemia and suggested that I see a specialist. I went to see Dr Lemberg and he diagnosed me with Celiac Disease. I had never heard of this disease before. I am feeling so much better now that I have eliminated gluten from my diet. Dr Lemberg was patient and caring with me taking the time to discuss with me my symptoms and what steps I should take to feel better. I highly recommend this doctor and owe my friend a huge thank you!!

Had little up to date knowledge of Celiac disease, which is why I when to see him. Also phoned in a prescription for a medication I don't take and could have caused me lots of problems. I have no confidence in him or his staff, especially his nurse. Having said that, he was friendly and had a good bedside manner, just lacked the knowledge I was looking for.

Dr. Lemberg is very caring and considers patient input in addition to test results when making diagnoses. I have never felt rushed in his office. He answers questions thoroughly and I feel I can ask him anything (relating to my health).

Dr. Lemberg is very easy to talk to, and he listens to the patient. Excellence "bedside manner." Answers questionsin a way that I can understand.

I was surprised at the ease this Dr put me at prior to, and during my procedure. He is professional when he needs to be, and comforting when it is appreciated. His communication skills are outstanding...a rarity amongst the Dr's I've visited. This is the first time I have rated a doc, and I'm doing this only because I want other patients to know if they need to see a GI doc, see this one! (and, no, I'm not related to this man in any way! lol)
