I truly don’t have enough words to thank Dr. Ball and his incredible team. From day one, he listened with compassion, treated me with care, and gave me something I hadn’t had in a long time, which was hope. His staff is just as amazing. They were all so kind, so supportive, and always going above and beyond to make you feel heard and seen. Saying yes to surgery was the moment I got my life back. I can finally be present with my family, enjoy everyday moments, and feel like myself again after so much pain. I wouldn’t wish what I went through on anyone but if you’re in that place, please don’t look anywhere else. Dr. Ball gave me my life back, and I’ll be forever grateful.

I had a great experience with Dr. Ball!! I came in with back pain from a work injury and from the first visit him and his entire staff were kind, professional and really took the time to listen. The gentleman that checked me in was friendly and thorough and the doctor explained my imaging and treatment plan clearly so I knew I was in good hands. My insurance took their time to approve my surgery but his surgery schedulers went above and beyond to help. After my surgery, I noticed a huge improvement. I’m so thankful for him and his staff. I highly recommend Dr. Ball and his clinic if you're looking for a spine doctor who cares!

Dr. Ball's office is helpful and responsive with no wait. Dr. Ball did two of my spinal fusion surgeries in 2019 and 2024. Not only is he kind, caring and compassionate, he is highly skilled resulting in an outstanding result with mobility restored and pain relieved. Additionally, he is careful in surgery to not cause spinal damage as he repairs the problems. I highly recommend Dr. Ball!

Dr. Ball did surgery on my husband and now finally after many years of pain he is able to live life normal again. We are so thankful for Dr. Ball and his wonderful staff!

Dr Ball and his staff were amazing! Once I got my MRI and called the office…I was seen just a week later, then surgery was scheduled about 3 weeks later. I feel so blessed to have been referred to Dr. Ball. I just had surgery a couple days ago, and already I have seen improvement in my pain. But still having pain, which is expected. I would highly recommend Dr Ball to care for my family or anyone else!!! If your suffering from spine issues don’t wait to reach out!!!

I have multiple problems on my back and was referred to Dr Ball to inquire about treatment. I was seated in the exam room and attended to by a pleasant assistant who asked me several questions then excused himself to get the doctor. About 2 minutes later he came back into the room- Dr Ball never showed himself. He told me that Dr Ball said he wouldn’t do surgery on me unless I lost 40 pounds, at which time I would probably no longer need surgery. That was the totality of my appointment. He obviously has issues with overweight patients. He needs to familiarize himself with the hippocratic oath again. Then take a class on simple decency toward others.

I was in much back pain for many years. Dr. Ball explained the whole procedure before surgery in such terms that I could understand. His pleasant manner made me feel comfortable throughout the ordeal. I was bothered by stenosis, worn disc, arthritis, and a broken vertebrae! Other than that, my back was in great shape! L4 and L5 had to be fused. He and his staff worked a miracle on my behalf! It's so wonderful to be ABSOLUTELY PAIN FREE. My family spoke with him in my room post surgery and were so impressed with his kind manner and the time he took to explain the procedure. I have only the utmost respect for this very fine neurosurgeon!

I was told my insurance would cover my visit. They failed to mention it would just go against my deductible. Bret Ball saw me for five minutes and sent out a bill for $615 explaining it was an extended 45 minute first time patent consolation. His staff would not adjust the bill, he was absolutely worthless and I got stuck with a huge bill for a five minute consolation.

My hero. Put an end to a year of sciatic nerve pain. Waited too long to get me to point of selecting surgery as appropriate decision.

Posted by Crystal Simmons : I was referred to Dr. Ball by my amazing pain management doctor at Lags to have surgery on my spine to fix a disc desiccation. I have degenerative disc disease, multi level degenerative changes of my thoracic and lumbar spine most notable at L4-5 where diffusely bulging disc annulus, facet arthropathy and laxity of the ligamentum flavum resulting in mild to moderate spinal canal narrowing. And that's just the tip of the iceberg. After being fully examined by his PA (who was amazing) I was told by the PA that he would return to my room shortly with Dr. Ball to talk about the next steps. My room was right by the doctors station and I could hear the PA speaking into his voice recorder and after listing all of my symptoms and issues he stated that I was a prime candidate for Surgery. Then he returned with Dr. Ball and thats when I truly met the worst doctor I have ever seen in my 38 years of being here. I have had 19 surgeries mainly on my right hip due to a… birth defect. So needless to say I have seen many doctors in my life time and he is by far the worst I have ever encountered. And I am done allowing doctors to treat me badly because of my age and the fact that I have tattoos, piercings and multiple colored hair. Dr. Ball came into the room and sat down saying I have some good news and bad news. He stated that the good news is that I have a beautiful spine?? I asked him are you sure you are looking at the right MRI because I was shocked. If my spine was beautiful I would not be waiting my time going to a spine surgeon as directed by my pain management doctor who looked me in the eyes and said that I need to have surgery. If my spine was beautiful i would not be putting myself through extremely painful lido cane injections and a procdure to burn the nerves. I must just like the pain right? So I was really confused and told him that my doctor who referred me had stated that I need surgery to fix a fractured disc. Dr. Ball looked at me and stated Your doctor didnt tell you that. So he basically called me a liar. So I told him that her main goal at this point is to try and keep me out of a wheelchair. He then proceeded to tell me that everyone on the planet has what I have wrong with my back. So according to him everyone has a broken back an 7 herniated disc and so on. I was just shocked by everything that came out of his mouth. So I basically ended the visit by saying I will have to go to someone else. And he stated that I need a pain management doctor. And I told him that I was referred to him by my pain management doctor as I walked out. It boiled down to the fact that he thought I was there for pain meds because of my age and the way I look. My pain management doctor has me on 2 narcotics the last thing I needs i more pain meds what I need is to not be in a wheelchair and be able to take care of my family thats what I need. And Im retired and disabled and financially stable and I have tons of time on my hands. I vow to make it my lifes mission to shut him down so he can not treat others this way. Also my best friends father is one of the best mal-practice attorney in the US and he will be in contact with their office.
