Dr. Brett Buchmiller, MD

Best allergy/asthma doctor around and a very relatable person as well. He has gotten me through some very tough times and you can tell he truly cares about his patients. His office staff, especially Christina, are all top notch too. I am a nurse myself and I highly recommend them.

I liked the Doctor and think he's very good at what he does. I appreciated the time he took with me, and he listened well. First impression was really good. He answered my questions and didn't hem_haw around. I like to talk, but I'm bottom line on this kind of stuff. Hope he can help me overcome severe allergies. I met him twice in a day (had tests then met back again), so I give him a five on follow up promptness. I'd recommend him to anybody. Also, Smokey Point Clinic seems to be a well oiled machine, very rare... Five Star!

I found Dr. Buchmiller in the network provided by my insurance, as I wanted to make this visit as economical as possible. Since I was suffering from another case of bronchitis/respiratory infection within the same month (and probably the 7th time this year), I decided to visit a specialist. I explained to him that I wanted to know why this occurred so often. He seemed to care at first and talked me into doing some allergy and blood tests in his office. Once the test were performed, he seemed to be too busy and almost walked me out of his office. I stopped him and suggested a prescription antibiotics or some medicine, as I was feeling really sick and it was the beginning of the weekend (Friday afternoon). He said he would check up on me on Saturday to see if I would need them for sure. I had to call his office emergency number the next day since my condition had worsened, and was prescribed (by an on call physician) an antibiotic that was too strong for me. I ended up in bed for almost… a week and with a huge bill from Quest Diagnostics for all the allergy and blood tests that he performed on me. It is unfortunate that I experienced a visit that seemed to be unethical, a visit that left me confused and distrustful about doctors in general. P.S. Of course I canceled my next visit at his office.
