Dr. Brett Gingold, MD

Specializing in acute shoulder and knee injuries, Dr. Brett Gingold is an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon with emphasis on soft tissue injuries of the upper and lower extremity. He is available to evaluate and treat a wide range of orthopedic conditions across all age groups in both our Redmond and Bend clinics.
Dr. Gingold earned his undergraduate degree in Nutritional Biochemistry from Cornell University. He furthered his medical education at the University of Vermont, obtaining his MD. Following this, he completed his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center in Rochester, New York. Dr. Gingold subsequently completed a fellowship at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in sports medicine with a concentration in arthroscopic shoulder and knee surgery.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Gingold has been an integral part of the Central Oregon community for over two decades serving as a team physician for student …athletes at local high schools, as well as providing care to athletes at local competitive cycling races. Additionally, he serves as a consulting physician for the U.S. Ski Team and the PRCA rodeo circuit.
Dr. Gingold enjoys spending quality time with his family. His personal interests include farming, wakesurfing, cross-fitting, alpine skiing, snowboard carving, and producing musical festivals. His letters-to-the-editor have been published in Time, Sports Illustrated, National Geographic, and Ski magazines.
