Dr. Brian Keith Bellamy, MD

My husband and I have been patients of Dr. Bellamy for several years. Dr. Bellamy and his staff listen carefully to what we tell them, and never fail to act carefully on our behalf. Recently Dr. Bellamy ordered heart tests for my husband that very likely saved my husband's life. My husband is the picture of health, but he had pain that seemed like a heart problem. Dr. Bellamy ordered a stress test with imaging, and that was the best test for my husband. The stress test was done at St. Lukes East (Lee's Summit), and by itself looked great; however, the images showed that his heart was not getting oxygen in certain areas of his heart. The folks doing that test kept having my husband return for further imaging. They were very thorough, and that paid off! The heart needed help! Not long after that, Dr. Grantham attempted a heart cath but realized the situation had more potential for open heart surgery than anticipated, so the heart cath was stopped. It was moved to the Plaza the… next morning. There Dr. Grantham and his team found the LAD was completely blocked. We are so thankful for all of them! Many doctors would have looked at my healthy looking husband and done nothing, especially if the stress test was done without the imaging! We cannot say enough good things about Dr. Bellamy, and every member of his staff, they all contributed to getting my husband the help he needed by scheduling the tests and helping us determine what steps to take!! We are also grateful to Dr. Grantham and his team for the excellent care they gave to my husband!

Brian Bellamy has been my doctor for the last 5 years. He has always been very friendly towards me. He always makes me feel appreciated. He answers all of my questions fully and in a way that I can understand him. He is one of the nicest doctors I have ever met!
