Absolutely FANTASTIC! He's helped me for over a decade! I have severe back pain and he's managed to keep me upright without surgery! He takes his time with you - Will answer any of your questions! Extremely friendly staff!

Let me tell all you 1-star raters something. The reason for the long waits is because. When Dr. Couri enters the room to care for YOU. YOU are the ONLY person he focuses on. You are NOT just a number to process through the insurance company. You are a human being, in pain seeking his help. His visits may go over on the time schedule, but that's because when he is in the room with you...he is not watching the clock. He is 100% tuned into his patient. That is a pretty rare phenomenon in today's "process and post" society. Why it takes months to get on his schedule??? Because his reputation proceeds him. We all want relief...surgery is rarely the beat all, end all answer. In fact, if you ask those of us who were the guinea pigs for the first "fusions". The long term damage far outweighed the small percentage that the fusion actually helped. Dr. Couri is on the forefront of helping those who lay in the carnage of those first fusions. He was affiliated with CINN… (Chicago Institute of Neurosurgery and Neuroresearch - Dr. Cirello's practice) CINN doctors performed tens of thousands of fusions in the 1990s. Thousands of us suffer debilitating pain. Electric shock pain. Dr. Couri gets this, and really truly feels our pain, and feels the NEED to help. Medicine is largely still a guessing game...as we are all individuals. Dr. Couri knows the right questions to ask and how to find the answers. SO...for those of you 1-star raters...If you are lucky enough to get into the waiting room? Bring a good book, sit your a$$ down...and count your lucky stars.

HAD 2 APPTS, FIRST ONE WAITED OVER AN HOUR, SECOND ONE THEY SAID DR WAS RUNNING LATE - & COULD NOT SAY HOW LONG IT WOULD BE... LEFT THE OFFICE W/OUT SEEING DR

Good news: Excellent Dr - thorough and knowledgeable.. Bad news: can't get appointment for several months, & waited over an hour once we went in on day of appointment -

Dr Couri is very knowledgeable & puts me at ease when I see him.

I've had chronic back pain for most of my adult life. I've tried neurosurgeons, chiropractors, physical therapy, etc. Dr. Couri by far has been the most helpful for my situation. I have found him to be well worth any wait needed due to his patient load. I have also found him to be a caring, dedicated physician that embodies all of what used to be be good about medicine and that to which new physicians should aspire to be.

He treats patients like a fast food line, and absolutely no communication on treatments or strategies on your ailments. A horrible diagnostician. If your in need of a good physiatrist, I highly recommend going to someone else!

Dr. Couri is excellent in diagnosis and treatmet of my very old arthritic and injured spine so I can remain mobil and get the most of my golden years.

I had my first visit with Dr. Couri a couple of weeks ago. I found him to be very professional, caring, kind, and concerned. The visit was above and beyond what I expected due to one of the reviews I read about him. I was very pleased with our visit. I'm so glad I did not that review to heart. heart.

Dr. Couris is a brilliant diagnostician. I swear he has X-ray vision. His knowledge of what is going on with your injury and recovery is incredible. Terrific man, kind, personable.
