Totally comfortable and pleased with Dr. Hunter and his team in my cataract surgery and recovery.

Both my husband and I really enjoyed working with dr. Hunter he is very thorough and very nice to talk with he explains things in plain English which we both appreciate it very much I would highly recommend him

Dr. Brian Hunter recently performed mono lenses cataract surgery on my eyes. I have never written a physician review before but couldn't pass up the opportunity to express how confident I felt with him doing my surgery. He is compassionate, kind, friendly and extremely competent. Dr. Hunter explained the procedure and every concern of mine was answered. It was fantastic to have immediate positive results without pain or discomfort. Thank you, Dr. Hunter, for giving me the gift of sight after many years of contacts and glasses.

He did both eyes excellent. I can only praise him and his work . Don't let one bad apple ruin this bunch. The Dr is a pro.

Dr. Hunter removed a nodule from my eye and then removed a cataract. He kept telling me that it would take time for my vision to improve. I kept going back in hopes that he would make either replace the lens or do a “piggyback”. He had said that the lens he put in was not right. I really expected 20/20. The last visit he said he would recommend a PK. I was going to get set up to have it done, but my insurance does not cover it. So... I am disappointed. He was always very nice, but I am stuck, now. I guess I will go to someone else for my other eye.

I am not one who wishes to participate in writing and posting comments on the web especially concerning physicians because I generally have negative experiences at Doctors’ visits and their related patient care is usually not worth expressing because they too often fall short of my low level of patient / customer expectations. With that said, I am compelled to write a wonderful 5-star comment concerning my incredible positive experience with Dr. Brian Hunter including ALL of his medical staff including the office and support personnel, ALL the surgery center nurses and the kind and caring anesthesiologists during my two very recent cataract eye surgeries. I initially met Dr. Hunter for my pre-op cataract surgery appointment. After a thorough and detailed examination Dr. Hunter then calmly and comprehensively explained all the details of the surgery. Dr. Hunter explained it in a very caring manner to both my wife and I and then proceeded to allow us both to ask our questions. Dr.… Hunter displayed much compassion in answering all our questions in a very “down to earth” manner. That left us with an incredible sense of trust in him and calmed me completely from any fears that I had concerning the upcoming operation. Then prior to the actual surgery, while I was waiting in the pre-op surgery room Dr. Hunter visited with me and instilled me with a total sense of calm and trust. During the entire fifteen minutes of surgery Dr. Hunter consistently spoke to me directly offering kind words and telling me about each stage of the surgery. It was a wonderful and highly caring experience that I will never forget. I am certain that there are many other highly technically competent ophthalmology surgeons here in the Tucson area. Dr. Brian Hunter has the genuine “bed-side” manners that we as patients do want and yet most physicians do not have nor try to obtain. Dr. Brian Hunter is a unique and special individual and physician. For those of you that do need cataract surgery soon I strongly urge and recommend that you make an appointment with this fine gentleman and Doctor. Dr Hunter removed my cataracts and my astigmatism. Since birth I've been extremely near sighted and had severe astigmatism. Both have been corrected with my surgery and now I can see 20/20. Wonderful! Dr Hunter is very friendly, informative and professional. Thanks so much.

When my long-time, well respected opthalmologist retired, I was very concerned about finding a doctor who would be as knowledgeable and responsive, considering the many complications I have with both my eyes. Dr. Hunter has all of those qualifications combined with a great sense of humor, kindness and compassion. He's an excellent surgeon, and goes to great lengths to care for conditions that could cause me to lose my vision. God bless you always, Dr. Hunter!

Dr. Hunter was great! From first introduction to my post op appointment he was thorough and comforting. His bed side manner is like nothing I have experienced; it was like he had been my doctor forever. I wouldn't recommend any other doctor to perform Lasik.

Dr. Hunter is very knowledgeable and kind. His staff was very gentle and kind knowing how nervous I was You only have one pair of eyes. Everyone tells you each and everything they are doing to you before the surgery . I've worn glasses since the 3rd grade and now I can see without glasses at the age of 64. He is my hero and I am telling everyone about him.
