Dr. Brian Constantine Josephs, MD

Dr. Josephs falsified my medical records to justify an unnecessary c-section. He told the staff to put "failure to dilate" when I was 9cm. I called him out in front of the entire surgical team. He shrugged and said "Put arrested descent, then."

I now give this office 1 star. After giving my initial review 5 years ago, I suspected that my fibroids were back and went back to Dr. Josephs. He ordered an ultrasound, and I had it done. On the way out, the scheduler said that she would call me for a follow up phone call with Dr. Josephs. I was told that there was no reason to come in since it would only be a discussion about my options. (I have been down this road 3 times before with fibroids.) I waited....waited...and waited! I finally called a week later and was told that someone would call me back. No call! I then called back 3 days later and asked to speak to the doctor or a nurse. I was told a nurse would call me back. A week later, I called again only to be told that I was misinformed and that I needed to schedule an office appointment with Dr. Josephs. I was beyond frustrated because I was and am still dealing with DEBILITATING CRAMPS! I have not been able to get out of the bed, when my period is… on. Finally, I gave up and was referred to another gynecologist by my mother. I am SHOCKED AND APPALLED at the decline of this practice. Not returning phone calls, giving misinformation, etc. NO THANKS! LADIES....TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!

BE WARNED, I have been dealing with infertility for 7 years. Dr. Josephs seemed very friendly and I initially liked him. He sent me for a uterine MRI. At my appointment after the MRI, he looked me in the eye and said “Everything looks great! Uterus looks great!” Over TWO MONTHS later, his “office manager” Laura called me to say, “oh actually Dr. Josephs decided your uterus is deformed (complete septate) and I already checked with your insurance and they will pay for the surgery, let’s schedule it right now! Then you will be able to have babies!” I was initially excited that they’d perhaps found a cure for me so I scheduled it. The more I thought about the way everything transpired, I felt like the call was a bit unprofessional and strange. She was not even a physician giving me this diagnosis. I scheduled a second opinion with a reproductive endocrinologist who checked the MRI and did not see anything amiss. Today the specialist did a sonohysterography to determine if Dr.… Joseph/Laura’s diagnosis was accurate. Turns out, there is no septum. My uterus is normal. I was going to go in for surgery next week and Dr. Josephs was going to put me under anesthesia for NO REASON. For what purpose? To get paid by my insurance? There is nothing there for him to remove. I’m beyond dissapointed in the ethics of this office. I am angry and appalled. I have called twice now to speak to Laura or Dr. Josephs, but nobody will call me back. You can’t play with peoples lives this way. The way they have given me hope and then torn it away is completely egregious and indecent. That was some absolutely terrible diagnostic work and very poor communication on their part. The emotional trauma I've endured will not soon be healed. Stay far, far away from this practice.

Tardiness is not tolerated here... At All! I was 11 minutes late and I was told I would have to reschedule. Apparently the doc was double booked? Why do doctors do that anyway? We can wait an hour to see them, but we can't be 10 minutes late. I even called to tell them I would be late. No sympathy for me. The best part is that the waiting room was completely empty.... Not a single patient. And the two receptionists were just standing around. A poorly run office, I wouldn't recommend wasting your time. I'm sorry I wasted mine.

Wonderful doctor. After a rude, pushy experience across the street, it was nice to find a compassionate doctor who actually talks to his patients. Good guy, great staff.

While I have only had two OB visits with this doctor. I have to say I find him to be very friendly and caring. He is reassuring and calming. He takes his time talking with you and answering your questions. I would recommend this doctor to anyone that wants to feel like you aren't a number but a person.

Dr. Josephs, was the best doctor that i have ever seen. He took his time and made me feel very comfortable. He has a since of hummor like no other, and he cares about you as a person not just his patient. I would recommend him to all my friends.
