Dr. Brian John Kobienia, MD

I had multiple consultations before I met Dr.Kobienia. He answered all my questions and went above in beyond in explaining things and made sure that I make the right decision to proceed with an appropriate treatment what I really need. I highly recommend him!

I saw Dr. Kobienia and he told me that the amount of tissue that would have to be removed for insurance to cover my breast reduction would be too much, that it would not be proportional. I accepted his expert opinion (I don't know how much breast tissue weighs) and proceeded with the procedure out of pocket. He explained over and over that he couldn't guarantee cup size, and I said, okay, but I would like to be a c cup in at least some bras. I also made it very clear that I would rather have breast that we're smaller than bigger. Post surgery, I wear a d-dd- which is not what I want. My breasts still feel way too big, I still have back pain, clothes still don't fit. One breast is bigger than the other, my nipples are shaped differently from one another. What is the most appealing about this to me- I was only 70 grams of tissue short of meeting the requirement for insurance to cover the surgery. If he would have taken the time to understand what I want from the surgery,… that I don't want Kim Kardashian-esque breasts, then the surgery would have been covered. There are better surgeons. Don't be fooled by his charming personality and go see one of them.

He is an amazing plastic surgeon! I have recommended him to several family members, friends and co-workers. I wanted to treat myself to a "mommy package" (tummy tuck and breast lift) after having 3 C-sections and breast feeding 3 children. I never thought that I would be "that girl" to have plastic surgery. I went in for a free consult not knowing what to expect. I told myself to just check it out and make a decision after meeting him. He made me feel comfortable and he was able to answer my lengthy list of questions and really spent time with me explaining everything. I felt safe and very excited! His bed side manner was above all! I no longer felt guilty for wanting to treat myself. I went home to my husband and we discussed my appointment. He was then on board with me having this surgery. I now look like I did when I was in my twenties! I encourage anyone who has ever thought of having this procedure to GO FOR IT! I would rate him ABOVE 5 stars! THANK YOU… DR. I have been seeing Dr. Kobienia for reconstruction after a double mastectomy from breast cancer. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff! They are kind, compassionate and prompt all the time. Dr. Kobienia is also so very kind and commpassionate, and has a wicked sense of humor, which very much eased any anxiety I had. They are wonderful people!

I went in for a consultation and they told me that a breast reduction would cost me $7,000 and insurance would Not cover any costs. I had a second opinion a week later with another plastic surgeon in Edina. My surgery was scheduled with in the month and my insurance covered my breast reduction 100%. It seemed like Dr. Kobiena didn't even take the time to check into my insurance. I'm so happy my surgery was done by another doctor and that I wasn't out $7,000. Not impressed

Gratitude is a memory of the heart and I will be forever grateful to you, Dr. Kobienia, for taking such good care of me during my breast cancer reconstruction. It was a scary time for me with a few unexpected bumps in the road. You made the long journey less frightening with your professionalism, knowledge, kindness, gentle nature and wonderful sense of humor. Your smile always lit up the room. You have made me look and feel beautiful, once again, and I will be forever grateful. My heartfelt thanks.

From my very first visit with him and now through my follow-up visits, he has been very patient and kind. My initial visit was very thorough and we spent a lot of time discussing the pros and cons of the procedure. He answered all of my questions and made me feel very comfortable. I have appreciated his pleasant professional manner. Choose him.

He redid my original implats that were twenty years old. Syline and replaced them with heavier sylocone. They are painful and full of lumps.he treated me very unfair. He suggested I see another plastic surgent. He was a friend of Dr. Kobienia t and said he wouldn't criticize his work. After a year and lots of pain and disfigurement, I wouldnt recommend this incompetent doctor to anyone.I plan on taking legal action.

I was so impressed with Dr Kobienia. I did a lot of research and I was very impressed with what I heard about him and at my initial appointment, I was pleasantly surprised with how caring he was, intelligent and honest. He really wants you to understand the procedure, recovery & outcome. I was very pleased with the results of my procedure. Dr Kobienia was great during my follow-up visits, very caring and managed my pain. I have already recommended him to friends & family.

Once you've paid him, he suddenly looses interest in your wellbeing. Unwilling to listen to me/help when I was experiencing severe pain post-op. Could care less during my follow up visits when I had concerns... Not impressed; would not recommend him.
