Dr. Brian Mac Dermott Mehling, MD

Doctor cancelled at the last minute, we rescheduled, for another day, then waited 2 hours for that appt and saw the doctor go to another room for someone else before us, so we walked out. We asked at the front desk a few times and they said he would come by, but he never did. Not worth our time. We have things to do also. Luckily we got a recommendation from a friend and will go to that physician.

Our daughter broke her arm in the spring and was taken to Hackensack where Dr. Mehling works. The good news: he set her arm (which required surgery) very nicely. We are certainly grateful for that. But his bedside manner was non-existent for us, both in the hospital and at his office. From both locations, we saw him for maybe...maybe 2 minutes in TOTAL time. He came in to mark which arm to operate on, not even engaging our 5 yo daughter who was frighten to be in the hospital for the first time. He didn't meet with us after the surgery - only called from his cell saying all was fine. And he didn't see us at his office to put on the cast. His assistant did it who, we suspect, had never put on a cast before. We eventually went to HSS where someone took one look at the cast and said, "you definitely didn't get that thing here!" As far as Dr. Mehling and his office staff know, our daughter STILL has the cast on. They never followed up. Perhaps it's because he was too busy worrying… about not paying his taxes. Google "Brian Mehling payroll" All I have to say is, if you're working with Dr. Mehling you probably have a talented surgeon. But don't count on him being caring. Good luck!

Try avoid him unless you want pay extra hundred thousands of dollars out of your pocket.

Really like Dr. Mehling and his staff! Very thankful that this is the group taking care of me.

Care has always been excellent! Both doctor and staff have always been very cooperative ... would recommend highly!

Dr. Mehling is very welcoming. He took time to listen and answer all of my questions and concerns. He reassured me of my prognosis after my surgery, what it will entail, and how I would feel afterwards. He also explained what I would need to do to help myself to recover as quickly as possible.

All the staff was very nice and friendly.

The receptionist was friendly and welcoming. Dr. Mehling and Renee took their time to explain everything thoroughly.

This doctor is amazing. Staff and doctor really take the time to listen and go above and beyond to help with anything we may need. Thank you!
