Dr. Brian E H Reiss, MD

Dr. Reiss did large back fusion surgery on me in 2005 and here I am in 2020 TOTALLY PAIN FREE. This Dr explains clearly and honestly what the surgery entails and all possible outcomes. He is fabulous in every way. He will not do surgery unless it is necessary and YOU want it. He is the best.

You are SO SCREWED if you have to see Reiss! First off, he doesn't care about you. He is just concerned about getting his $2500 pay from your employer (I am currently on Workers Comp). My MRI/CD showed that my L4,L5,S1, discs were herniated and bulging, I also had a cyst on my back. He told me that I was faking it, but to STILL continue to take my OPIOTS and pain meds and suggested his secret treatment of Yoga. He then sent me back to work. (This guy is an IDIOT!) I FINALLY went to see a REAL Doctor, a professional, and guess what......I had my third back surgery! I am 70% better with no leg pain, no pain meds, and living a normal life. I feel sorry for those who wrote ANYTHING GOOD ABOUT THIS PERSON! He must of paid you to write this garbage about him. Go see a professional and run when you have to see this IDIOT???? He is an arrogant JERK with his little recorder and his yoga advise. He can stick it where the sun don't shine. His employees are even scared of him!!

I am a workmanship comp case. After reading his reviews I was really nervous of not getting a fair evaluation. I had discectomy done last year. My disc has since ruptured again. My surgeon wanted to do fusion. Work comp denied me and sent me to dr. Reiss for a second opinion. He ultimately agreed that I would be a good candidate for the fusion. I don't know about everyone else but I was happy with the exam.

I was told by my lawyer that I had a 3:00 appointment wit Dr. Reiss. I never got a confirmation phone call from the doctor's office. It was taking me a little longer to get there than I thought so I called to tell them I was about 5 minutes out but that I was on my way. Apparently I was suppose to check in at 2:30, but NO ONE EVER TOLD ME THAT! Sorry, but Dr. Reiss has already left for the day and is now scheduling for JANUARY!!! Wow, somebody really dropped the ball on this one!

Dr. Reiss performed my back surgery... Since this was my first surgery, I was very nervous. I had excellent care from him, his staff and facility. No one wants to have surgery, but I can say, Dr. Reiss is a very caring doctor and will take good care of you and your needs.

very late for the surgery due to his personal issues. Used an assistant surgeon without prior notice which increased the cost of the surgery significantly. I am not the patient but the spouse/responsible party.

Interesting the consistency among the malcontent workers compensation respondents. I couldn't disagree more regarding Dr. Reiss's professionalism. I give him top marks in all ratings. What's more I have given referrals to friends and will continue to do so. He gave me a new lease on life for which I am eternally grateful.

He doesn't tell you what is wrong he will tell you what he knows what his gravy train insurance carriers what him to tell you. He works for the workman's compensation side so he is their second opinion doctor so be prepared to hear you don't need surgery just do yoga, core excerise and go home and live with chronic pain. I must say, after reading all of the negative reviews I was very skeptical of getting a 2nd opinion with this surgeon. However, it was my office visit that prompted me to write this review. Maybe the negative views were because the people that wrote them were all workers compensation patients. If they had an agenda it would not be fulfilled here. Dr. Reiss, was very knowledgeable and kind. He was direct and thorough. He explained treatment options, and did not rush me to a surgical solution. He helped me to understand the risks of any surgery, and spent the time until I understood and was comfortable with my diagnosis. I would highly recommend Dr. Reiss if you are serious about your back issues.
