Dr. Brian Thomas Zafonte, MD

Dr. Zafonte recently performed my hip replacement surgery. Excellent doctor. Two weeks after surgery I am getting around very well - no walker or cane. He took his time to explain the procedure, answered all my questions and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. As a matter of fact my primary care doctor stated that if he needed to have a hip replaced he would want Dr. Zafonte to do it.

Dr. Zafonte is an excellent surgeon and communicator. He explained the procedure thoroughly and answered any questions that I had. I felt totally confident going into surgery and with my after care. He is an outstanding doctor! I was also impressed with his PAs, nurses, and staff who were always available to answer my questions. Highly recommend!

Thank you for your help and that of your staff during my recent fall and elbow injury. The elbow and wrist/hand continue to improve daily and I am glad to be able to start PT this week.

DR. ZAFONTE IS WELL EDUCATED, COMPETENT, AND IS AT THE TOP OF HIS FIELD. HE EXPLAINS THE PROCEDURE , IN MY CASE DUPUYTRENS CONTRACTURE, FROM THE BRGINNING TO THE END. HIS STAFF OF ASSISTANT, PHYSISICAN ASSTANT AND NURSES WERE ALL VERY QUALIFIED, KIND AND EFFICENT. ALL WERE VERY KIND AND MADE ME FEEL COMFORTABLE. WHEN THE PROCEDURE BAGAN, DR. ZAFONTE EXPLAINED EACH STEP BEFORE HE BEGAN. MUSIC WAS PLAYING, AND BEFORE I KNOW IT, THE PROCEDURE WAS DONE WITH VERY LITTLE DISCOMFORT. CARDS AND LETTERS WERE SENT TO ME AFTER THE PROCEDURE. PT WAS EXCELLENT AND FOLLOW THE EXERCISES DAILY, YOUR OUTCOME WILL BE EXCELLENT. YOU ARE IN GOOD HANDS WITH DR. ZAFONTER, THE PA-C AND NURSES, AND HE CONSIDERS YOU THE PATIENT, YOUR OWN PERSONAL ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON, YOU DO NOT SEE THAT OFTEN, AND IN MY 44 YEARS AS A CLINICAL PHARMACIST, THIS WAS A WELCOME SURPRISE. I was referred to Dr. Zafonte by my doctor.. I had bilateral carpal tunnel surgery. Dr. Zafonte cared how I felt and made me feel comfortable from the start to the finish. I had fallen off a ladder at home and broke my wrist and fractured some bones in my right arm. Dr. Zafonte was recommended to me, by some of the emergency room personnel. At the initial visit, he went over the x-rays, and explained to me my different options, and why he thought surgery and inserting a titanium plate and pins was the best route to take . The surgery had me a little worried, since I had never been completely under. They had to cut in on both sides of my arm to correct it, but the scarring is absolute minimal - you can barely even see it . But most importantly, I have full function of my right arm and hand back! He is very skilled surgeon and does excellent work! His staff, and the physical therapists were also very professional and considerate. Brian zafonte removed a enchondroma in my finger and he did such a good job I never had any bruising or anything after his surgery! I can't imagine needing a better person to handle your problem.
