Dr. Bridglal Ramkissoon, MD

I would never recommend this physician to others ... especially as a specialist in neurology. I confess ... I intend to research where Ramkissoon received his MD. If he does hold such a degree ... I wonder how his license was obtained.. He certainly was not tested on how to interact with patients and their families. As a former healthcare administrator for 30 years ... the treatment my wife received was not what I would expect from a professional. He has no decency!

I wish I could assign this physician a ZERO rating. I have worked in the medical field for many years, in various areas of healthcare and have NEVER met a more unprofessional and insensitive physician in my life! He failed miserably on educating his patient, and his delivery of information is scarce (at best), and what was provided was delivered with indifference and flat affect. He touted himself as an "expert" because he has treated thousands of patients with memory issues, but when asked about a diagnosis and disease progression (i.e. what we should expect), his response was he wasn't God. When asked if he reviewed the patient's prior medical history (i.e. recent hospitalization), he responded "that is not my job". I highly recommend that anyone seeking neurological treatment go to ANYONE else. I plan on reporting him to the FL licensing board because in my honest opinion, he should not be trusted to treat patients as he lacks the ability to provide the appropriate care (i.e.… failing to review prior medical records directly related to treatment) and the empathy patients deserve when hearing a devastating diagnosis. Perhaps HE has forgotten about his obligations to educate, support and guide his patients and it is time for him to retire

Found a serious condition with my dad, ordered the correct test immediately, followed him to the ER when results were called to him, and expedited his admission and transfer for neurosurgery. Grateful for his prompt action and expertise!

I was referred to Dr. Remission by my PCP. I couldn't walk on my heels and had trouble lifting my toes toward my shin.He performed a nerve conduction study and an EMG and determined I had neuropathy and "drop foot". He was curt, issued brief commands like Sit, take off shoes, walk on heels, etc. I felt as though I was a dog in obedience school. Once, when I didn't respond quick enough, he pointed to a chair and said, "sit here"in a Curt manner. I felt demeaned. The icing on the cake came later, after I had an MRI of my back. After reviewing the m r i of my upper and lower back, he told me I had neuropathy and foot drop. I already knew that from what he told me before. Then he said, since the neuropathy was not coming from my back he could do nothing for me. I was I was shocked and ask him if I was going to have to be this way the rest of my life. He then proceeded to tell me that what did I expect at my age, and that I could be worse off. And he told me to just live with it. So he… pretty much dismissed me with those words. He did nothing to try to find out what could be causing the neuropathy he just dismissed me. He even made fun of one of his other patients who had foot drop in both feet and he mimicked him walking in that manner. And told me I should be glad I only had it in One foot. I don't understand that people that gave a good review to this doctor. He should not be practicing medicine and should be removed from doing so.

Condescending, angry, bitter, belittling, rude, has the personality of a rock, no insult to the rock intended. Do yourself a favor and go out of town to a different Neurologist. Billing secretary was very nice over the phone, but I believe she works for an outside agency. His front office staff however is as emotionless as their boss, this should have been my first clue to the Dr.'s demeanor.

Spoiling an obnoxious oxygen theif of a daughter, never teaching consequences and pulling strings. What other personal serving things do you want to trust him for on your wallet's and medical records behalf?

After reading Dr ramkissoon’s reviews the night before, I was shocked to read so many negative stories so I was apprehensive for my 8:39 apt. I am happy to report it was a very nice experience. y es he was all business soI can understand why some found him to be abrupt and not friendly. I don’t think I have ever had such a thorough exam befrore. When I was giving the nurse our info, I asked her how he was to work for and she said he was great and had nothing but good things to say about him. Nevertheless I still asked my husband to accompany me in the exam room just Incase it didn’tgo well. We both were pleasantly surprised. the doctor even smiled, (slightly) when we were leaving. I would strongly recommend him , after explaining what to expect. Definitely a very informative and pleasant experience.

Initial visit was to get my checkup and meds refilled. He asked me how I knew that I was epileptic. If he would've checked the records I brought to him he would've seen its hereditary to me and I've had them my entire life. Then preceded to tell me it could be heart problems, ha. Whatever you say. Fact is, I'm epileptic. Point blank. He makes no eye contact and when you respond to his questions he cuts you off. The entire time he spent with me as a new patient was less than 15mins. Tells me hes going to send my meds to my primary and I can go from there. My primary cant fill them and the pharmacy doesnt have them. So I call his office "hes already left, you have to call back tomorrow morning at 8am". I do a runaround trying to get this figured out. If I dont get my pills I will seize. Idk if he and his staff know this but it needs to be made clear. Preventative meds will not prevent without the meds themselves. So I finally call back again about 40 mins later, stern as I could be… and he magically is in the office and they get ahold of his nurse. She tells me with the most disrespect that he indeed did send in my prescriptions and continued to cut me off. She had him send them in and what do you know, 2 mins later my pharmacy had the prescriptions. No one should have to stress and runaround to get a dr to do their job correctly. If I could give him a 0star rating I would. The worse dr I have ever seen. If you're looking for an epileptic dr, do not see him.

Hateful and enjoys being so! Hard to believe he has ANY patients, but I was told he is one of two doctors in his field here. Any important medical problems, leave this county!! If you go to him expect to be mistreated.
