This doctor is terrible

I went to him for years as well as other doctors in the group when he was located at Piedmont! Very satisfied and thankful they were my doctors.

Dr. Lide is very professional and diligent in his work. He took great care of me and I appreciate his prompness

I went to Dr. Brooks Lide for many years, tolerating his non-caring attitude for years since I was too lazy to change my PCP. But after going to him for 6-7 years, and seen him over 40times, I can honestly say that Dr. Lide is a non-caring doctor. I told him my illness/stress and he don't seems to care or finding solutions. On one visit, he actually said I don't know and did not provide a solution. There is almost near to never to have follow up after visit from Dr. Lide or his staffs. From my 6-7 years experience with him, I can honestly say that he is not a good doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Lide for many years, with complete satisfaction. However, one event really sealed my confidence in him. I was on a business trip when my condition awoke me in the night with tremendous shooting pains in my jaw. The shocks were coming from my trigeminal nerve, but I had no idea what was happening to me. Since I knew no one in the city I was in, I paced the floor until 7 AM and called Dr. Lide's office. He answered the phone...miracle #1; I described my pain to him & within a few minutes, he correctly diagnosed it...miracle #2 & accurately prescribed the best med for the pain. I am forever grateful!

I spent over 30 years at this practice. When my regular physician moved to a "fee" practice I was "assigned" to Dr Lide about 7-8 years ago. I have been fortunate that I have had few health issues and just drove the 1:30 from my home once a year for a physical. Two years ago during the physical Lide stated my blood pressure was elevated and he wanted me to monitor for several months, send him the results and he would make a decision about medication. Three months later and after not receiving the results of the $1000 physical I wrote a letter to Lide, included the results as requested and asked for the results of the physical. No response was received. Over the next four months I sent three additional letters and received no response. Finally after eight months from the physical I received the results, computer driven, from the day of the physical and no response to the elevated blood pressure results which indicated I needed medication. This person, that called himself a doctor,… never responded never prescribed and forced me to seek a new doctor after thirty years who immediately prescribed medication. I complained to Piedmont Hospital and they lost my complaint- twice and never did anything. I wrote a complaint to the state medical board and after six months wrote they had closed the file and would never tell me the results of their investigation or action. In other words they did nothing and this guy continues to dispense poor advise, non- caring care and an arrogant attitude reserved only for those that thing of themselves as gods.

This guy should not be in business! He has limited knowledge and/or experience with shingles and misdiagnosed me when I was staring him in the face!

He is a very unprofessional doctor who lacks major major communication skills. He treats his patients like objects and he is not proactive. Please don't go here. You will be very disappointed .

Hard to reach during non working hours. No email or return phone call option. No compassion for urgent situations. Multiple experiences have caused me to look for another physician. Too bad as Dr. Lide is good.

Dr. Lide is the backup to our primary care doctor and over this past weekend at Piedmont, he was very caring and compassionate as we thought my mom was passing. She 'woke up' and Dr.Lide continued to provide excellent care throughout the holiday weekend. My family is very grateful for his professionalism and dedication.
