Dr. Bruce Carl Johnson, MD

Jan, the receptionist/coordinator is crazy. Schedules for a time, then she thinks she call you to reschedule, reschedules anyway, and says if i don't hear back, you are scheduled. How does this work? In 99% of all others, confirmation is needed. Beware of these folks. Jan needs to get organized, or just give up. She is always frazzled. Run away.

I felt like he was just staring right through me and everything I said didn't make any sense to him. He kept asking me the same questions over and over again and I told him he's going to get the same answer.

Wonderful dr. Been seeing him for 10 yrs. Very easy going and attentive. Provides just what I need ~ not too much or too little. A+

Very knowledgeable and up to date on his pharmacology. I am an avid reader and researcher, and he always has new info for me. Very satisfied with the quality of our time together. He hears what I'm trying to say and has excellent feedback and alternative thoughts for me to consider. Jan, his OM is great to work with re my ins. and any other concerns I may have.Kudos!

I love going to see Dr. Johnson his office is laid back and he has a gift for seeing what issues need to be addressed and establishing their priority. Obviously he has a 2 month wait list because he is good at what he does. What I really like about him is his passive attitude; he listens and asks questions but is extremely careful about throwing out judgements.

he was the 1 doctor who FIANALLY realized that i am bi-polar! maybe if some of the other so called psychiatrists' figured this out years ago, maybe i wouldnt have tried to commit suicide when i was 14. i adore him! i wouldnt be alive w/out him, literally. LOVE HIM!

I would recommend Dr. Johnson to a friend or family member. Compared to other psychiatrists I've seen around the U.S., he ranks the highest. (Because of my spouse's job, we've had to move around a lot.) The only complaint I have is with his "billing department," or lack of one. I went over my allowed no. of annual visits per my insurance co., and it cost me a good chunk of change. I had to pay the remaining visits out of pocket. Unfortunately, I wasn't aware of this until it was too late. So, be proactive and review and keep track of your benefits. Unlike most other dr.'s offices who will keep track of this for you, his office won't.

Just the right amount of intervention, not too directive and not totally rogerian. I like him a lot.
