He is a predator. He takes advantage of the children of gullible, naive, and willing families, if not others.

Closed up shop leaving parents and patients with no alternatives giving patients two weeks notice and a 30 day prescription. He is a bum

I saw Dr Jobe for a few years ending mid-2010, and he was excellent. I was very happy with the results. He suggested a med that i tried and had side-effects, so he gained my feedback and changed it until we found what worked. He was always willing to listen to my ideas and seemed to trust my experience in knowing myself very well, and he did not get annoyed with the plethora of internet research I do regarding meds. This seems to be a rare quality: a doc who respects a proactive patient. i was happy. BUT... here's the problem: i missed two appts and he discharged me. My husband called to explain i had been through a trauma, and was not functioning properly. I was avoiding most everything in life at that point; PTSD from the trauma caused me to be forgetful, fearful, nightmares kept me awake for days so I was forgetting what day it was; then i began considering suicide. I was not able to articulate this as i was only beginning to understand and accept what i had been through. Dr Jobe… not only discharged me for missing two appts but he (or should i say, his wife who handles the appts) refused to reconsider after my husband called his office to apologize, explained that i was in crisis, and promised to monitor my attendance himself to ensure i never miss another appt. He offered to pay for the 2 missed appts too, and explained I really needed him to see me; i ran out of meds, plus, related to the trauma, i needed a doc who understood my history (critically important because he treated me prior to the huge 'change' after abuse i encountered at work). His wife/receptionist would not allow my husband to speak with Dr Jobe directly to ask his reconsideration; she was adamant i was discharged for missing the 2 appts; they referred me to a nutcase psychiatrist that was absolutely awful and hostile to both myself and husband; this collectively set me back years and further traumatized me, all because Dr Jobe wanted to be illegally stubborn over missing 2 appts while i was in a crisis, suicidal and incapable of functioning as a human being! I found out later that it is illegal to terminate a patient against their will for missing appts and is considered abandoning. I am still confused as to why, because he seemed to be a good doc, one of the better ones I'd had. Maybe his receptionist wife decided to never give him our msgs; i just dont know.
