Dr. Bruce Nichol Tucker, MD

Having been recently diagnosed with a fatal illness, Dr. Tucker refused to acknowledge my need for additional pharmacological support. He seems to be more worried about his own DEA license than providing the care needed to assimilate this devastating diagnosis. I had to pass 4 excruciating days without any of the medicine I was needed because he blocked the refill given by my medical oncologist. Too judgemental in thinking that I was taking this medicine for “kicks” and not to alleviate horrible symptoms exacerbated by this new diagnosis. Finally I put myself in the hands of Palliative care who had no trouble at all in prescribing the medication I needed immediatly. I have been on this medication since the 1970’s for a pervasive mood disorder which had enabled me to be a normal productive citizen as an NP during my lifetime. I will never understand this physician’s lack of empathy for which I am truly remorseful for him.

This highly experienced professional is a lovely blend of sharp intelligence with an enviable "bedside" patient manner. My two decades of being privileged to be treated by this veteran physician have been consistently outstanding -- he goes the extra mile.

Recently Dr. Tucker ordered a holter moniter test. It has been over two months and I still have not received the results of the test.

Excellent diagnostician and has referred me (when needed) to exceptional specialists. Tucker has been my doctor for over 20 years. My brief time with Kaiser was a disaster. They had me on high doses of Codeine for a condition that is now treated with a sulfa drug and leaves me without the pain and swelling I previously had. His referral (for my diagnosis of prostate cancer) to a urologist he knows, resulted in my being cancer free, fully continent, and sexually functional. If I have to wait 15 minutes it is well worth it.

Dr. Tucker is my primary physician, and was referred by a friend. He is very capable and has a professional demeanor. I need to get ongoing certification for my profession and I recommend him highly if you require the same. In summary, by far the best doctor I've had.
