Dr. Bruce Stephen Zaret, MD

He presented unshaven and unkempt...I ignored his vulgar appearance thinking he had a rough case in hospital overnight. He gave cursory attention to the 2 years of records he requested to be faxed prior to my appointment, stating he read "650 pages of my medical files." He conducted a silly exam not appropriate to my stated complaints, dismissed symptoms of concern, ordered no labs, scans or tests and gave samples of a medication that can cause my death and further disability. I did not care for his un -sanitized hands touching the TOP of my mask and filters. He was not required to be THAT close to me unmasked to see my teeth or mouth etc. Perhaps the negligent exam was intended punishment for his peer who caused harm? Zaret claimed also he never heard of a neurosurgeon who followed my care for 2+ years before he left Broward County. Yet he demanded to know why I have not seen a friend of his; this information was in my extensive file alleged to have been read. Though Zaret asserts… he has been practicing in the area for 31 years....my neurosurgeon stated he avoids associating with careless treaters and warned me of any who toss prescriptions without current tests. If you value your life and staying ahead of SUDEP...do not see this Doctor. He did not answer questions either. And had zero knowledge on my rare syndromes. My insurer, Aetna ought to remove him from access forthwith.

I've been Dr. Zaret patient for 30 years he's the best highly recommended

I can understand some of the reviews people gave as he does not have the most friendly bedside manner, but he is very intelligent and was spot on with my diagnosis. I care more about how smart he is than if he is personally talkative during a visit, I also did notice he was more personal on my second visit, maybe he needs time to get to know us as we do, to know him

Paid my co-pay, then had to reschedule my testing. Elected to have surgery by another Doctor and canceled my testing and they refused to refund my co-pay. Staff is not very pleasant and Dr. Zaret seems rushed... I suggest people take their business elsewhere!

I was referred to him from an Orthopedic doctor for testing. Due to the hour I requested an appointment through their website on Mar. 5th. The office finally got back to me 10 days later. After much phone tag I tried making an appointment for an EMG on Mar. 18th after 3 phone chats with Kim. The appt. she gave me was for today, Apr. 9th because she said they only do the test on Tuesdays. I tried to expedite the process by stopping by to get paperwork. Kim declined saying they were moving offices and would be training the following week. I show up today to find out they not only don’t have the info I spent time giving Kim about me but they have no appt. scheduled for me! There was no offer to make any accommodation for me having traveled some distance to keep the appointment. Judging by their lack of concern about the missing appt. on their schedule and their failure to remedy this then and there, I would not recommend them and don’t plan to return there!

Dr. Zaret was excellent!. He took his time with me, did a thorough exam, listened to my concerns, and worked with me to come up with solutions for my migraines. I was very impressed with his approach and his knowledge in his field of expertise. The office staff was kind and friendly too. It was a very positive experience.

I start with Dr.Zaret a year ago, for me he is THE BEST NEUROLOGIST EVER. He gave you right answers, he explain to the patient everything you want to know, all the test are explained to you; he has great manners. He found out what really causing me all my problems. Everybody at his office are really nice and pleasants ,his assistance (Mary) is great, people at the front desk are the best and the Andrew my Physical Therapy is also GREAT. Is not easy to found a place that you feel good and sure that what they want is the BEST for you. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Tayde Duran-Levine

My experience with this person was only for neurological testing. His manner is dismissive and he seems to wear a cloak of superiority. During muscle testing in my legs (a somewhat medieval pain tolerance procedure), he seemed to be totally distracted and barely aware of my presence, only occasionally giving abrupt commands and directions. Hard to know when he was talking to me, as he did have a continuous dialogue with his technician. when I had a serious pain reaction and my leg began to go into a serious cramp, he responded with: "That's OK, I can still continue." Really! He couldn't have cared less if I was in pain from the procedure. When I asked him a question after testing, he responded with a FAQ type pat response. I again pressed him to elaborate and he actually repeated what he initially said, word for word, turned and left the room. My opinion? This person is more of a mechanic than a physician. Avoid Him.

I have been to other neurologists and none has been as detailed during consultations as Dr. Zaret. Me an My mom are patients of Dr. Zaret and he is absolutely the best. The staff is very professional, pleasant and do return calls in a timely manner, something I find hard to find with other doctor's office.
