Only cares about charging you for copay and office visit. Worse Dr. ever......

He is so kind compassionate. Has really been there for me during some tuff times. He is now my husbands Dr and has been mine for 14 years. Love him as a Dr and a friend

I have been going to Dr Barnes for more than 10 years. Last week I had a 6 month check up which is nothing more that his way of charging me just to write prescriptions. But I didn't complain. I depend of my medication and was happy to abide by his wishes to see me every 6 months in order to refill my prescriptions. Recently, I had to have a test which he did in the office. I received a bill the other day for $240 after it was processed through my insurance. When I arrived at the office for my appt the receptionist updated some information and then mentioned my $40 co-pay. I had my debit card in my hand to pay the co-pay. She also mentioned the balance due for the test. I told her, "yes, I received the bill the other day and I need to make a payment arrangement. I could pay something today in addition to the co-pay." She informed me that she would have to reschedule my appointment until the balance was paid. I said,"you mean if it takes me 6 months to pay this balance, I can't… see the Dr. until then?" She said we can not schedule an appt until the balance is paid in full. I said," What about my prescriptions?" She said she would send someone a message and proceeded to asked me what drugs I needed in the presence of a waiting room of patients. Needless to say they did not call in my refills. I have had payment arrangements with other doctors and I have never been refused treatment. This incident just solidified my decision to find another primary care physician. Several months ago I was ill and had made an appt. Dr. Barnes seemed very concerned and ordered some tests to find out what was wrong. After the test results were in, at my follow up appointment, he obviously didn't read his chart or remember anything from my previous appointment because he didn't even seem to remember why I was there. The entire time I would be in the office he would be on the computer and not even look at me while I was talking. Then he would go off on some tangent about how terrible the pharmacies are in our area. I have always paid my bills on time and I don't think that making an equitable payment arrangement is too much to ask a healthcare provider. I guess it's a good thing the ER doesn't operate on such a strict financial basis. I do not recommend this doctor any longer.

He is so caring and very professional but. At the same time treats you like a friend. Always feel very comfortable with him and staff is always very friendly. Would never go to anyone else. Been my Dr now for 15 years that should speak for itself

Dr Barnes has been my primary care provider for 21 years since I was 14 years old and my husband‘s provider for 15years. My husband had a follow up appointment with him a couple of days ago only to be informed right before he was to go back that he had been taking off Dr. Barnes schedule as he had to many patients scheduled that day and put over onto the nurse practitioner schedule. normally this would be fine but my husband personally knew the nurse practitioner and did not feel comfortable seeing him for the concern he was there for that day and informed the office staff of this. The office staff informed him he would have to cancel his appointment and reschedule after driving over an hour from where we live and then proceeded to inform him that him canceling the appointment that day and not giving 24 hours notice would count against him. My husband went ahead and canceled then left the office and two days later we received a certified letter in the mail that Dr Barnes Was dropping… my husband from his care. My husband was not rude whenever he was in the office and I have heard from several people that this is becoming a habit in his office which I believe is very unprofessional.

Dr. Barnes is a great physician, he words things in ways you can understand without a medical license. His staff is courteous and friendly every time I go in! I would recommend Dr. Barnes to anyone!

He is wonderful I don't understand these bad reviews I've never had a bad experience with him or his staff if you are not happy keep your comments to your self go find another Dr don't ruin it for the ones that love him

Dr Barnes and his staff go above and beyond!!! They truly care for their patients and will do every thing they can to fight for you as a patient ! Thy are even open in the evenings M-F so you don't have to pay more to go to Urgent Care!!!!! You don't even have to be their patient to go !!! Seriously the BEST !!!
