Dr. Poussan has the affect of a rock. She stares past you as you answer the few questions she asks. Dr. Paussan doesn't seem to be concerned about any of the side effects of the psychitropic meds she prescribes for her patients. Myself and other family members who are or have been patients of hers' suffer from severe tremors and other physical side effects from drugs she has prescribed. It is unconscionable that a certified psychiatric professional would allow her patients to suffer with not only their mental illnesses, but also cause them physical harm in this matter. Dr. Poussan practices as it one size fits all, and in mental health, this is far from what science is teaching us in the ability of the the brain plasticity and what GOOD, no MHMR social work, but professional psychologist with a knowledge of tramatic brain disorders, PTSD, and other severe forms of mental illness, can help to heal these lives that pass through her office. I was one. I got the help I needed and got out… of the "system". However, it angers me that anyone that must depend on the state or federal system of mental health care are denied the advanced and cutting edge care they so deserve. Dr. Poussan has out lived her usefulness as a psychiatric professional. I believe the entire system needs to be revamped in Texas. Doctors like Dr. Poussan need to hang up their coats and retire. Science is proving the brain can recover. Motivating a patient to do the work necessary is half the battle. This doctor does not evoke any emotion in her patients except apathy. I was one of her victims.
