Dr. Carl Hyun-Geol Shin, MD

Shin is a Fraud! If you have a injury case don't go see him. He will lie to your face about sending in referrals to EDD and work comp. I have been battling with EDD for over a year because they claim Shins office never sent in the documents to get my benefits started. The entire time Shin has claimed he did. I asked him today to show me proof and he left the room and after a while came back and claimed they had ongoing computer issues and it never was sent. This man will also leave you injured and in pain and refuse to give you pain meds. He will just have you come in and spend very little time with you and not listen. I told him today that I have been having major spasms and have been falling down. He response was ..Follow me and we went out into the hallway. With out saying anything he shot into his office. I went into the waiting room and told the girls at the counter what just happened. They both just laughed! I think this place is all just a scam from the front of the office to… the back the office. Please do yourself a great favor and go to another doctor because this guy will do you more harm than good!

Curiosity reading the comments , and I had the same diagnosis that someone here , the pain is in my head supposedly,the Dr shin , every visit the only think I heard, “ I don’t know what I can do , the xrays come up normal, I don’t know what to said” the pain is on you head... really ?some days barely can walk ,is frustrating this Dr make worse the illness...of, I just mark one star because don’t let me sent the message without rating, be don’t even deserve no one....

What a complete waste of time and money. as a patient who is in pain and seeking help in treating that pain, i was disgusted to hear that the treatment to my torn rotator cuff was tai chi and meditation and the pain was all imaginary in my head.

Dr. Shin treats and treats and treats which suggests he's out to make money rather than really care for his patients. He is the doctor of choice for many applicant attorneys in the Sacramento area because he keeps people off work for very long time and they never seem to really improve.

PAs who work there are horrible!

He should be in the medical field as it is only a business to him. No compassion. It’s numbers and patients really don’t matter... it sickens me to have experienced his factory. Run just run very questionable ethics.

Please find a provider office that's not a waste of your precious recovery time.

Run, don’t walk run! Look this doctor does not care, it’s just a numbers game for him and w/c is pulling his strings no doubt

I was seeing this doctor or I’ve 15 months for my work comp case for my back injury. He is the worst. I’m mixed race and I’m not gonna say it right out but this doctor ain’t right in how he treated me and other people like me. Anyway. I had to wait almost 2 hours and when I did see him it was for 5 mins where he would give me a useless prescription of meds that the pharmacy could never fill because their office never did no work on my behalf so my workcomp never paid for my meds. So I would waste a half day hanging out at that nasty office. The bathroom was always nasty too never had no toilet paper and his staff was hostile.

This office and the doctors working will be a waste of your time. I know you w this because Dr. Shin and 2 of his PA's told me it was a waste of his staff's time to try to find someone to treat me because the insurance company was being difficult. So if you wish to be called a "waste of time" then by all means go to this office. I was a patient here for 18 months.
