Dr. Carlos I Arias, MD

I advise against choosing Mr. Carlos Arias as your primary care physician for you and your family. My mother was his patient of ella since 2009 and during the final stages of her life of ella, when she needed his services and compassion of ella the most, he behaved indifferently by refusing to prescribe any medication that could have alleviated her anguish and suffering from her. She was showing signs of Alzheimer's or senile dementia, and instead of providing appropriate care, he only referred her to a neurologist. Unfortunately, due to issues with the healthcare system in Manatee County, she had to wait months for her first appointment with a specialist. Tragically, my mother passed away without receiving a mental health diagnosis while waiting for her neurology appointment

Dr. Carlos Arias and his staff are without a doubt one of the best health care providers.

I was so impressed by how Dr Arias treated my husband I changed insurance companies so I could become his patient. He is through, compassionit, patient, understanding and very precise in his examinations. I have finally found a doctor that I trust and am extremely satisfied with.

After being put on hold several times, with no apology or even being asked to hold except for the first time. Then the girl that finally answered was rude and kept making excuses as to why she would pick up and just place me hold without asking if it was OK, i asked her name due to the fact when she answred the phone the first time she didnt even say it she just hung up on me. I called back and another girl answered after the greeting she DID state her name, she was polite and apologized several times for her coworkers behavior. Against my better judgment I made an appointment. When I arrived was greeted by the nice young lady that assisted me the second time I called. She was very courteous. I waited an hour before I was called back the i was notified by the receptionist (the polite one)that they were running behind, again she apologizes, reason was all to obvious the nurses were to busy joking and yelling down the hallway then they were attending to a full waiting with empty exam… rooms. My experience with the doctor was good between him and the checking girl I decided not to write off returning until it was time for me check out. The check out girl was rude not helpful or very clear with my referral. Turns out she was the one who had hung up on me and refused to give me her name (Gloria) when I asked. While waiting for clarification on my referral I witnessed her do the exact same thing she did to me, answer the phone and immediately put the caller on hold(she was not busy at all) all the while giggling and laughing with the nurse, the girl that checks you in was getting slammed with phone calls and checking in other patients with no help from any of her co-worker's and she did it with a smile(poor girl). I have since obtained a new doctor. I do not and would not recommend this doctor unless he does something about his back end staff. It's a shame because he's a good doctor.

He is a very thorough Doctor....thats why you might have to wait a bit...he does not rush you.

Unorganized chaotic place. I would not recommend it at all.

Was told by staff that they took my insurance. Was charged the co payment of $10, but then months later was informed that they did not take my insurance and made me pay the total bill. I would never have gone to this doctor if I knew he did not accept my Blue Cross/Blue Sheild insurance. I was not impressed with this doctor. I worked in healthcare for over 25 years, so I have knowledge of a good physician.

I've been a patient for 8 years, excellent doctor, he spends as much time as needed with each patient, which could explain the reason the waiting room time is long. I think the wait is for all the right reasons. His nurse is fabulous and second best to none, and his front office staff are excellent.

He is the best doctor my husband and I have ever had!
