Dr. Carlton Lee Lyons, MD

The most compassionate physician I have ever had! I began with him in 1997 and had 5 surgeries thru the years. He cares, plain and simple. He is empathetic about pain and very skilled as a surgeon and urogynacologist. He has a gentle way as his bedside post-surgery. He even would check on me when I was in the hospital for other reasons and he saw my name on the admissions list He listens and creates a team with his patient to mull over the issues and possible treatments, surgical or otherwise. His office is a calm haven with fountains, music, calm personalities of staff and Dr. Lyons, Erinn and Elizabeth. Literally, never a negative interaction. I appreciate being cared for in this way. I hope other doctors embrace the patient-centered approach that Dr. Lyons has mastered. The idea that patients: are telling the truth; are real people with emotions; need to feel heard and respected; know their bodies best and know when something is different...these are core beliefs of my favorite… doctor on 58 years on earth.

Dr. Lyons is the best doctor in the whole world.. He is so patient I had been through a lot of surgeries that did not help. He was honest and upfront with me. He spent many and I mean many hours talking to me going over ever detail to ensure me that everything was going to be ok.. He never got tired of my questions and my inability to get over being so scared of things not working out for me... The surgery was a complete success and his staff stayed in constant contact and ensured I was doing well through out the whole process... Love him... and his staff

l have several years of bladder urgency. Thanks to Doctor Lyons I can now sleep all night and go out for the day with no problems

He help me get pregnant,when i was told i couldn't. Delivered my children then retired from delivery,i cried. Then when i started having more female issuse and found out he was still working i cried again. I have trusted him with my life due to health issues for many yrs,and will until he tells me he's retiring from medicine then ill cry all over again.

I highly recommend Dr. Lyons. He is the first doctor who listened to me and took my symptoms seriously without pathologizing them as well. Dr. Lyon performed a hysteroscopy, with D&C for endometrial hyperplasia. The hospital nurses took great care of me. Then, his office called 3 days in a row to check on me. I'm very grateful to Dr. Lyons and his staff who are all welcome, responsive, and helpful.

Dr. Lyons communicates well. Cares for his patients. Surgical outcome was excellent.
