She not only listened, but wanted to get to the core cause of my problems. She sent me to several Doctors to collect all the information to do so. I have never had a Dr. To take such an interest in my long standing problems. She is the best.

For several years, off and on, I have had terrible pain in both of my legs. The pain got to be so bad that I could not sleep at night. It felt like my legs were constantly in a vise. A doctor at a walk-in clinic recommended that I see a neurologist. He thought I had Restless Leg Syndrome. I looked up neurologists in San Antonio and found Dr. Cirstea. It was the best call I have ever made. From the moment I met her, she has been entirely focused on my care and listens to me as a patient. She performed all the required neurological tests and then said she would like to test me for diabetes. I said "okay," thinking that was going to be a waste of time. I had my blood drawn and within hours, Dr. Cirstea was on the phone with me, explaining to me that I had full-blown diabetes! Suffice to say, I was shocked. That was the last thing I expected, but Dr. Cirstea was right on the money. Since that time, I have been taking my medication, exercising, and following a diabetes-friendly diet. As a… result, I am now in complete diabetes remission! For years, I had been going to doctors complaining of leg pain, and no one thought to test me for diabetes. I truly believe Dr. Cirstea saved my life. Had it not been for her and her insistence that I get checked for diabetes, I would have been very ill by now. If you need a neurologist, there is none finer than Dr. Carmen Cirstea. I highly recommend her.
