Dr. Carmen Eschelle Stapp, MD

Bedside manner is okay, not great and not poor. She appears to have good knowledge of her subject. Not really crazy about her explanations of things. At times she doesn't appear to be all that interested and her patients. There remain questions that she is not given a full diagnosis of.

Dr Stapp is one of the most devoted and caring physicians I have encountered. Her diagnostic skill, prompt follow through, careful explanations of the problems and treatment options, and her compassionate approach are top notch.

My 42 year old son just had a radical prostatectomy. Dr Stapp gave him great peace and confidence in her. We were kept well informed before during and after the surgery. Everything is a good as it could be. We are very impressed with her skill and bedside manner.

Dr. Stapp is a top-notch physician. She cares deeply about her patients. She is gentle, kind, and careful. She follows up without fail.

Would not recommend this doctor. Her treatment of my father was horrible. She was supposed to get back to him as soon as possible with the pathology report and he waited two weeks. When she did call she was very cold and matter of fact. I guess doctors become so jaded that they just don't care. I wonder how they would feel if it were their child or their father receiving horrible news about their cancer? Part of the problem is she's always on vacation. I do not begrudge anybody taking a vacation but a doctor or any professional of this caliber should either find adequate backup in their absence or check their emails/vicemails regularly when some of their patients are critically ill and time is of the essence. Very disappointed in the level of care my father has received.
