This is what Dr. Miller did for my kid. 1. Saying children are “not smart” in front of others This is commonly called: Verbal abuse – using harmful language that humiliates or degrades Psychological bullying – repeated behavior meant to belittle or intimidate Shaming – publicly embarrassing someone to assert power In educational or clinical settings, this is considered unprofessional and unethical behavior. 2. Constantly claiming her own child is the smartest This behavior may be described as: Grandiosity – exaggerating importance or superiority Ego-driven behavior Narcissistic traits (NOT a diagnosis) – such as excessive self-praise or comparison Only trained clinicians can diagnose narcissistic personality disorder, but the behavior itself can still be unhealthy and inappropriate. 3. Saying “white people usually have the best language IQ” This is clearly: Racist stereotyping Scientific misinformation Discriminatory speech There is no credible psychological science… supporting racial superiority in intelligence or language ability. Making such claims violates ethical standards. 4. From a professional standpoint (important) If this person is practicing psychology or education, these behaviors may violate: Professional ethics codes Anti-discrimination policies Child protection and safeguarding standards Psychologists are expected to promote respect, dignity, and emotional safety.
