Dr. Caroline Werner, MD

I love this office, the doctors, and the nurses. It feels like a home, not an office which helps me a lot because doctors offices usually give me great anxiety - the staff are so kind and attentive to my needs.

Dr. Werner is great, she has an excellent bed side manner, she is very knowledgable and I am thankful she is my OBGYN.

The comics on the ceiling is a nice touch. Thank you.

it was my first pregnancy and i had heard about this doctor from a friend and went there she seemed nice, was not very informative. With my birth she induced me ( my idea) and with no progression after only 10 hours and getting to a 6 dilation she said i should just get a c section because she had thought during our previous appointments my pelvic shape was too small, but never mentioned this before and i was scared. Perhaps if she had given me a warning about my "pelvic shape" i could have had the chance to be more prepared, I feel i could have gone more time i could have done it. i wasn't in too much pain the babies vitals were good,just seemed to be on her schedule the later in the evening it was. anyways not going back to her.

Did not like her at ALL. She did not realize my baby was breech until I had been in labor all day and went to the hospital 12 hours later.. and the midwife at the hospital found out. She did not check in previous appointments to see if the baby was in the correct position (and I'm pretty sure my baby was breech for a long time because her head was getting stuck under my ribs.. which I realized later with my second pregnancy when that baby was definitely much lower and in the correct position). It was my first pregnancy, and she just asked me, "Ok, any questions?". I didn't even know what to ask, and didn't feel like she treated each pregnancy as different (and they all are). She just expected that I was going to have a normal pregnancy, and I did not. After my C-Section at the hospital (which I did not want, but it was last minute and they could not try to turn the baby to the correct position anymore), Dr Werner left me on blood thinners too long. Days later, when I went home, I had… an incisional hemmotoma-- my C-Section scar came open two different times, and I bled all over my blankets while laying in bed. This happened because Dr Werner left me on blood thinners too long, and blood had built up underneath my scar until it finally forced it to come open on part of it. I had a home nurse come to my house for a month, and most of the time my husband had to put gauze in my wound and change it several times a day every day for a few weeks so that it could heal from the inside out. It took me about a month after my C-Section to be able to walk around again. All of these problems occured because even though Dr Werner was very experienced, she expected that I would be like every other normal pregnancy. She even admitted to me that she screwed up. I will NEVER go back to her again.
