she is dedicated to her her profession and is very very knowledgeable about all health problems

Dr. Silney knows her stuff, she's a good physician who sincerely has your health as her primary interest. She gets you in quickly and doesn't overmedicate. I have been seeing her on and off since college, as someone who knows a lot about medicine I respect her choices about my health and appreciate her wisdom. I would recommend her.

I have had her for quite a few years and she has always been a top notch doctor staying on top of my medical history from year to year and doing yearly panels for screening and issues, I wouldn't trade her for anything!

This was the worst experience I have ever had with a medical professional. I had 2 appointments at this practice and both times, I left feeling like Dr. Carolle Silney could not care less about me as a patient or a person. I am an out-of-state student at Mizzou and I needed to find a new doctor for Columbia so I wouldn't have to wait to get appointments over holiday breaks. Both times I went to Dr. Silney's office this month, she talked to me like I was a nuisance, showed no actual concern for my well-being, and literally cut me off mid-sentence when I was sharing a personal health concern I have been having. She said to me with a straight face, "That is enough. You have way too many medical issues. I will not listen to anything else today. You are not my only patient. You can schedule a follow up visit." and walked out of the room. She refused to help me with anything else I came with and said that it's because she has a rule of, "3 medical issues per visit", which is not LISTED IN… HER OFFICE OR WEBSITE ANYWHERE. She also implied to my face that I must have come to her with "all these issues" because I could not afford to pay for insurance consistently and was trying to take advantage of having an appointment. What kind of doctor says to a patient, "you must be sharing your medical issues with me because you are taking advantage of me"? What are doctors here for, if not to help me get healthy? I have never been so insulted in my life. I don't know if she was assuming I could not afford her because I am a young female college student, because I'm African-American, or some other reason, but even if none of these factors were an issue, it is beyond disrespectful to tell a patient that you assume they can't afford to pay for their own medical care based on a professional interaction where finances were never discussed or brought up as a concern by me. I left her office in tears and feeling like neither she, nor her nurse, cared about my well-being or even me as a person. I will not step into her office again and will let all of my friends know what a mistake it would be to choose this doctor to help them. If you are looking for a doctor who cares about your health, please take my advice and choose a real doctor in Columbia.

I have seen Dr. Silney years ago and went through horrible stomach pains for over a year. She kept treating me with IBS. She treated me like I was a drug seeker. Although she never gave me anything stronger than OTC pain meds for my horrible stomach pain. I had my last episode of a pain attack and someone suggested it might be my gallbladder, when i suggested this to her, YES I had to suggest this she was shocked that she never ran this ultra sound test on me. I had surgery 4 days later with 6 soft ball size stones. And yes I did this all without pain meds thanks to this doctor. ENTER AT YOUR OWN RISK OF HAVING TO DIAGNOSIS YOURSELF AND WITHOUT PAIN MEDS.

Wonderful doctor, warm and caring. I recommend her to anyone looking for a physician.

Easy to get an appointment. Polite, caring, bills insurance accurately.

Since her nurse said she is "conservative" this means Dr. Silney doesnt believe in ordering blood work she doesnt believe in ordering x-rays: Her goal is to have the sick patient come back several times then order this as a absolutely last priority: Glad the Kansas City chiefs QB didnt have her as a doctor.. his appendix would have expluded.. meaning if he saw her she would not order any blood work nor x-rays. Students of Mizzou even if your sick and have a choice of her or the ER dont gamble with your health: Take the safe beat and go to the ER! Another Lazy doctor who wants to do nothing and have you see her several times to get paid more by your insurance company.
